They have had 10% of their average rainfall in the last 4 months. You want people to drink or to keep it in the dams?
Well if they hadn’t of removed 3 dams they might have had enough water to help the firefighters. The poor bastards weren’t even told there was no water. They could have put measures in place to mitigate what was coming but they did nothing.

3 Hydro Electric dams 500 miles away nowhere near southern California?

I dont believe it was drinking water .... they drained what was in it

I also believe that they decided to build several more in 2010 when fires had been through previously. Was never done. Money spent elsewhere. Maybe on other good stuff? Maybe wasted on bad stuff?

What does Trump have to with the Mayor and governor of California being totally incompetent??? Removing dams, cutting funding to the LAFD failing to remove 30 years of undergrowth. Letting the reservoirs run dry so there was no water for the fire fighters. You can’t control Mother Nature but they could of been competent enough to mitigate the damage.

Do you have a source for any of that or is that what Trump or his bots told you ? Can I assume from your post that the mayor of Cali is a democrat ?

Be interesting to see a real source as I don't know what to believe about that country. I guess its no surprise that Americans will politicize a natural disaster.

I've seen those allegations because thats all Twitter is now, sponsored American politics, and bugger all to back up any allegations, just twats on twitter making unsourced claims. No doubt some of it may be true but certainly not all of it as Twitter is even posting disclaimers under certain posts now, stating that the above post is false, or photoshopped.

The Dispatch via Yahoo news said:
However, claims that the four dams’ removal affected Southern California’s water supply are incorrect. While Los Angeles officials reported that water storage tanks in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles County “went dry” early Wednesday morning, the removal of the dams along the Klamath River played no role in the shortage. The water stored in the dams, located more than 500 miles away from Los Angeles County, was primarily used to spin a turbine and generate electricity. The dams’ reservoirs were used to supply water to firefighting forces fending off wildfires, but only in that region, not in Southern California. Further, the removal project took a host of measures to “avoid a net diminution in firefighting resources or an increase in the fire ignition risk as a result of the loss of the Project reservoirs.”

Southern California never received water from those dams, even when they were operational. The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, a state-run agency that delivers water across six counties—including Los Angeles County—does not take water from the Klamath River area. About 30 percent of the water supplied to Southern California comes from the Northern Sierra region of California, transported south through the State Water Project, California’s water storage and delivery system that spans more than 700 miles. Southern California receives an additional 20 percent of its water from the Colorado River, collected near California’s border with Arizona and delivered via aqueduct. The region receives the rest of its water from a variety of sources, including the eastern part of California’s Sierra mountain range, several local reservoirs, recycled water, groundwater collected from underground aquifers and from desalination (treating seawater by removing the salt).

The homeless budget is bigger than the LAFD’s budget. Make of that what you will.

So you don’t think they could have been better prepared??? They were warned a month ago if the winds get bad this could happen. Instead the Mayor was in Ghana at a Cocktail party.

So you agree that the closing of those 3 dams had nothing to do with the water shortage in LA.
Glad we sorted that out.

by whom ?

you realize this fire was in their winter season which is not their fire season ?
It’s normally in October/November, but firefighters warned the higher ups this could happen. Instead we get the disaster we have now. How do you not tell the poor buggers fighting the fire there is no water??

What about the rest of my post??? Why cut funding to something so important?? Why the refusal the clear 30 years worth of growth. Surely something more could have been done??? I supposed a cocktail party in Ghana is pretty important.
