Trump's always been grade A merkin, and is now simply bringing it out in the open.

I'm surprised some people who supported Trump earlier in this thread were dumb to these possibilities... but then again, given they also support the LNP, I'm not so surprised.

You shouldn't assume those that were critical of the former POTUS who was obviously struggling to maintain control of his basic faculties and critical of the airheaded/braindead facile campaign run by the Democrat candidate running for election as necessarily being pro-Trump.

Oh, I'm not confusing that.

I'm talking about ones that had specifically posted they were looking forward to Trump being elected. One on here already seems to have backtracked yesterday to making criticism of Trump - despite it being less than three weeks since the merkin took power.

I said I was looking forward to trump being elected as it was going to be 4 years of whinging and whining and him just being Trump.
Which has already happened in the few weeks in charge.

Wanting Trump over Biden/Harris/Obama's fingerpuppets doesn't automatically mean you agree with everything he has and will do in his tenure.

All good, I wasn't thinking of either of you.

But I believe my comment that "I'm surprised some people who supported Trump earlier in this thread were dumb to these possibilities... but then again, given they also support the LNP, I'm not so surprised" still stands.

That's what reasonable people who don't treat politics like sport do. It's actually allowable.
Who knew?

Albo/Labor will shed some seats, more than 3 losses means it ends up in minority government territory. Even if Dutton wins 10 seats (and all from Labor) I can't see Dutton negotiating with and winning over enough elected cross-benchers to form the minority government.
There is also a chance the pick back up Fowler and Griffith, Especially if they run an actual local candidate in Fowler.

It is true that people are certainly allowed to change their minds once new information comes to light.

Thing is, everyone knew what Trump was gonna do. How do we know? Because he kept saying what he was gonna do. This is what the USA voted for...and the ones that didn't vote at all were just too indifferent to care.

I agree

That's a bit leading.

I'm going to refrain from calling anyone who couldn't bring themselves to vote for either as "indifferent"
