That’s why it’s surprising that a lot of the left support the democrat establishment.
The distribution of wealth and resources was just as unequal under them.

And people march around decrying the end of wokey rights, while millions live in poverty in the US. And let’s not talk about their health system.

So he argues that until the discussion should be about structural change, instead we have distractions and entertainment.

Trumpy is like a hand grenade into the order. I don’t think the Uber rich like or trust him tbh. It’s not quite business as usual for the elites with so much market intervention.

The best thing the right has done is get the "wokey left" as you described them as "elites" because they might have a university degree, a government job and time to think about things outside their immediate vicinity. Then the right/convservative side claim to not be "elites" even though they also fill those same government roles and have probably more money - just more likely to have earnt that through inheritance or some rent seeking activity that has had government backing.

Maybe for the lower classes it is a case of knowing that nothing is going to change for them so instead of voting for the Dems who kind of pretend that they will do something but don't they can vote for the Republicans who definitely won't do anything to help them but they might punch down on some other group to give them a "win"

And if he goes too far it will motivate people to hit the streets and be more socially active.

Instead of the inertia of rampant capitalism, slow steps to the right by successive governments that America has been subject to since ww2 probably, people might want more structural change.

Talking about levelling Gaza and turfing the people out, probably upsets a lot of people. He might have lost the election if he’d said this before.

She put her best presidential face, but it was more of the same as policy and she couldn’t shake that off.

It’s the state of Israel in Gaza not Jewish people. A lot of Jewish people wanted justice like us, but not dead civilians. Many protests in Israel as to how the government have handled it.

There’s some great Jewish humanists as there are Muslim.
