Zelensky is absolutely not a flea. Why do you say that?
He is the strongest, most inspirational leader I have seen for decades. Since Gorbachev, who absolutely brought peace to Europe.
Why should warnings about joining NATO deter him? He wanted security for his country. A country that he wanted to turn into a true democracy, a bit like Gorbachev back in the early 90's. NATO was going to offer him and Ukraine that.
Isn't world peace what we all want?
And, what money did he take? Please tell.
It was only Putin who was threatened by this, hence why he is heading west for his grab to reclaim the Russian (USSR) Empire. Why do you think Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia and Finland are all securing their borders currently? Russia will not stop if they succeed in Ukraine. It just cannot be allowed to happen and nor can any compromise on this.

As for China, that is another discussion for another day
I disagree Suity, he is a flea. Russia has no interest in taking other countries that you mentioned. I think you have been watching CNN for too long.

I whole heartedly disagree.
He is fighting for his country and his land and the land of his people.
Would Serbia ever just roll over?
The same can be said for Putin and the love that his people have for him. They must believe he is fighting for land they think is rightfully theirs. It works both ways mate, that’s why they can’t agree and a war is going on.

The west, we screwed this up pretty badly.

A peaceful and thoughtful carving up of the Ukraine could have been sorted without a shot being fired.

Now it’s going to carved up anyway following 700, 000 deaths.

For the sake of posturing and chest beating.

Putin is not a leader.
He is a dictator.
The love of his people? Lol.
They are too scared not to love him.
Every election he gets 99% of the vote. Yeh, right.
Sorry, but surely you're not even that naive.

The west didn't invade a sovereign country dude.
And why should the Ukraine ever have been carved up?
Because Putin wanted it done so?

Ok, how about Trump invades Canada and then expects Canada to be happy to divide up their land and just hand it over.
You're kidding aren't you?

don't forget that his potential opposition candidates all seem to walk out of windows just as they start to get a bit of support

I haven't forgotten that but maybe others have.
They also die from falling down stairs, or smoking incidents or falling over balconies or other claimed suicides, but of course, these "accidents" never happen in Russia.
The country is rotten to the core, but oh yes, his people love him.

Anyway, I'm enjoying a travel show on the ABC. A journey from Paris to Instanbul.
I've done it myself. In peaceful times - 1991. Thanks Gorby.

The Clintons killed many too. Car accidents, drownings you name it. Some reckon as high as 50 who got in their way.
But it just must be a conspiracy theory.

Don’t just go all out against Mother Russia.
