No chance, all he is doing is pushing Europe to become more involved. They will come out with a substantial support package soon. It will force Germany to become more generous. While there is a good chance troops from European countries will eventually be deployed as a security guarantee..

Turkey (who has substantial control of the Black Sea) has already put its support behind Ukraine (and their support was the reason Syria fell recently, while they have).

Trump has just isolated himself and chained himself to Russia now, which has nothing, zero to offer the US (in economic or security. It's the worse negotiations in history! Trump has no idea about world politics etc ! Wouldn't be surprised if this is start of the eventually end of "5 eyes".

On a side note, the US support for the Ukraine, has benefited its local economy and military inventory/manufacturing capacity the most. It's not true Ukraine receives "cash" from the US to support their defence of their country. There is no cash for Zelenskyy to steal...

That's cool to throw in broad compromise position, but to suggest that you know stuff that everyone doesn't is a little out there. OR even if you say you don't know, but imply that there might be something else going on is just playing the misinformation game.

The bottom line is that Russia is not our ally, Ukraine is. Let's not forget that.

On Russia, yep they are bad pricks!! They should have never invaded Ukraine (sovereign recognised country) ....but let's just move away from that argument, whether they should or shouldn't have invaded.

Have a look at how they are conducting the war, they are bombing non military targets, appartment buildings, hospitals, executing POW, and plenty of other war crimes.... if it was simply taking back their territory ? Or NATO (interestingly they never attacked Finland when they joined recently)? Why are they acting like this? It's almost like an act of wiping out a generation.....
