Elections are a pain in the arse. You have to go and vote. I think a large majority of people like myself don't care enough about it to understand it at the depths of others.

So you want Australia to turn into a Trump-Musk like circus then... ok :shit:
Anyone with half a brain can see Dutton is nowhere near Trump-like, but you Lefties are desperate to paint him as some sort of anti-Christ. In case you deluded fools have'nt noticed, the World is lurching decidedly Right as a reaction to all your Lefty bullshit. All this shit re Dutton is just a prelude to Albo announcing the election date this weekend.

Oh dear. He literally was following the Trump playbook, right up to naming that Price creature head of his future DOGE equivalent. Though once Dutton realised how cray cray Trump is, he has been attempting to distance himself from his fellow world conservatives a slight bit.

I think they'll keep roasting Dutton slowly, for a few more weeks.

I've heard two options floated:
1. Albo announces on Monday 10 March for an election on 12 April.
2. Chalmers lays down an early Budget on 25 March, Albo announces on 28 March, for an election in May (either 3, 10 or 17 May).

Funny how the pile on starts a month or so out from an election..

Labor starting with the Libs plan 🤔
It’s not funny as we are now squarely in election mode. Both sides are throwing hand grenades.

What is funny is the old idiom, people in glass houses …

Btw this guy is as funny as Marty Shergold
He does deliver in a smug, aggressive manner. However what you can’t fault him for is the size of his kahunas. After exposing certain representative associations, dodgy politicians etc he was set upon by a newly formed just for him and niw disbanded NSW Police fixated persons unit and then this..

It’s nice to know the mindset of our big brother. They might come to our aid, but like that hiker who got lost in Tassie and got collected by chopper, you might end up with a big bill.

Similarities between Dutton and Trump are that they both look to culture war stuff to win votes rather than economics. In Duttons case I assume that he believes in most of the right-wing culture warrior positions before they became popular. Think Trump just jumped on the bandwagon

Main concern with Dutton is his lack of transparency and communication. Based on his many years in public office he uses his power to shut down debate ("I move that the member not be heard") and if he gets any hard question from the media goes on to attack the person asking the question - then gets puff pieces from his friendly supporters.

Now everyone knows that he is a multi-millionaire (where much of that wealth was obtained during his time in office) and he does spend a lot of time with Australia's richest person (who makes money from exploiting Australian resources for low payment). That would make some people question his motives for being in public office.

For Labor, they are only in their first term and in a precarious position - so I think it will take a while for those that are in it just for themselves to rise to positions of influence. The LNP still has a few entitled members from their time in power.

So people whose main aim in life is to upset lefties will happily vote Trump/Dutton regardless of any other negative consequences to themselves or the country.

Yes its not funny..

But it's funny that Labor are using the Libs trick of throwing mud instead of actually trying to help the people..

Take this Medicare policy Albo wants to bring in if he wins.... Not like anyone is stopping him doing it now?
