Firstly I'm only intolerant to Indians and Sri Lankans. I have my reasons for this.
I respect and admire Aboriginal peoples and their customs. I'm welcome any time at Wreck Bay down the coast and have been invited to share a large sea turtle with Aborigines in Cairns. I can assure you not many Aboriginals from Wrecky voted for it.
Good for you. I was making the point that it wasn't some quest for "detail" that decided my vote either way. Seems like you're now (belatedly) realising that such detail is never part of any Referendum - only took me three goes over the course of 18 months, but looks we finally got there!
Secondly, if you don't see the potential for some kind of erosion to the democratic process through those changes then you're blind.
I'm not fearful of some mystical "erosion" of democracy from making an allowance for a future simple, non-binding advisory body to be consulted where relevant by government.
What is stopping having Aboriginal people making submissions to parliament to make laws with respect to matters relating to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice, including its composition, functions, powers and procedures.” right now?

The answer is nothing.
Because the Constitution simply doesn't allow for such a body to be planned and created through laws by the Commonwealth - without the wording that was part of the Referendum question. I thought we were making progress re not needing "detail", but if you're too daft or stubborn to grasp the basic principle of the Constitution then we're on a hiding to nothing I'm afraid.
You told me this idea was created at some tree in NT in 2017. I found (but sadly no longer can) on the UN website where these laws were requested by the UN in 2006.
Ah, the mythical found but never posted source for something you're now starting to claim... as an alternate to your (now proven irrelevant) quest for "detail" to inform your Referendum vote!

Kep kicking those own goals every time you post on this matter JS, lol.

I too have previously been (invited) to Wreck Bay.

My understanding is that the place is currently testing mega high for PFAS, as a legacy of the nearby naval base using that worst kind of firefighting foam for decades and it leaching into the waters.

The government - as in other areas surrounding defence bases where this stuff was used - is dragging the chain a bit in owning its responsibilities for clean-up and compensation for health impacts. And maybe that's why Wreck Bay is a little more "closed" perhaps than previously?

The Wreck Bay community isn't actually publicly accessible any more like it was when I was a kid and our family used to go fishing there while holidaying in Huskisson. Amateur fishing at best with a hired tinny.
I think JS may have missed the bit where the hired tinny was from your childhood days, with his question about where you (recently?) hired it from.
I've tried access over the past few years while holidaying over summer, and it is now a gated community.
I'm not trying to be smart. Can you explain why it now is inaccessible ? I'm genuinely just curious.
In 1995, the freehold title of lands surrounding and including Wreck Bay were transferred to the Wreck Bay Aboriginal Community Council, and so the community owns the land and as such the Wreck Bay settlement is private land. The Community jointly manages the national park and gardens (Booderee) on its lands however, which are open and accessible for visitors.

I remember working on a project related to PFAS and was taking someone through media. One of the key talking points was about how abundant it is. That ended up coming out in a radio interview as PFAS being “naturally occurring”…

Tucker, really ? He’s as fair dinkim as this guy. The smear is clear. They are building a narrative so that they can side with Vlad. Option 1 was a peace deal with a carve out. Option 2 seems to be a guilt free walk away.

So it must be bullshit. Is that your comeback?

Meanwhile there is a meltdown going on about SNL. They remind everyone that the Ukraine guy is not the only person who wears a different kit in the white house. The MAGA comments are salty AF.

A little bit funny ... Elon is certainly an odd merkin.

Tyler Fischer does a million times better impersonation.

Do we give this a #whataboutism

Of course Elons attire isnt a fraction of the psyop zelensky's is
