Onya Albo, this is leadership.

Anyone who wonders about Labor’s response to Trump should take note. Albanese has asserted an independent stance that supports European allies and other liberal democracies. Dutton, meanwhile, rules out the option.

And this sums up the ungratefulness of Trump's USA.

This is becoming a way to measure how politicians and commentators respond to Trump. Some want to make excuses for the president by finding fault with others. A common refrain is that European leaders can only blame themselves because they did not spend enough on defence.

But there are no excuses for Trump deserting European allies. It is less than 25 years since NATO members including Britain, France and Germany joined US forces in Afghanistan after the September 11 attacks on New York City and Washington, DC. Now US Vice President J.D. Vance talks about allies like these as “random” countries trying to help Ukraine – a puerile remark.

Did you really believe that they were funding research into transgender mice ? Well they were, kinda. If you squint your eyes and imagine really bad things ...

The new battery systems, said to be the first in the world designed to discharge for eight hours, marked a step up from most of the batteries on the market today, which typically discharged at full output for a maximum of four hours, Quinbrook said.

Installing a fleet of the giant batteries across Australia could prove “game-changing”, the investment firm said, due to their potential to cut the cost and boost the availability of zero-emissions energy to help decarbonise heavy industry and power emerging green manufacturing processes of the future.
