At a media briefing, Quinbrook described its plans for eight hour batteries as a “world first”, which is not quite true because the state of NSW has already agreed underwritten contracts for five eight-hour battery projects as part of its efforts to build storage capacity to replace coal.

But that does not match the scale of what Quinbrook is doing, and Scaysbrook insists that CATL’s EnerQB technology is unlike any that has been proposed before.

“This the first battery technology to be specifically designed for an 8 hour charge and discharge,” Scaysbrook told Renew Economy.

still seems to be some lithium-ion product

yeah, still lithium based

from a google search

What is the CATL cell technology?

CATL's low-lithium consumption technology can greatly reduce the consumption of active lithium content during the usage of a cell and significantly improve the stability of anode material surface and structure. It is critical for satisfying the performance requirement of an ultra-long life.

I am still awainting the VRB technology to hit the market, it's ideal for large storage plants and an Aussie invention

The price of vernadium fluctuates a lot making it hard to get them off the ground atm.

I don't really care which reason you come up with.
As I said, I'm just curious to know why that community is now shut off.
It is such a beautiful place, with a beautiful beach.
It just seemed weird to me that it is now no longer accessible to the general public.
Not sure if you saw this.

Wreck Bay is and always has been a closed community. It's considered that any non resident entering there without an invite to do so is acting impolitely and may have this pointed out to them by a member of the community.

Is the gate you refer to on Wreck Bay road or the road down to Summercloud boatramp?
Out of curiosity, where did you hire the boat from?
I can't source what I've been told and it won't last long on here without it. I don't want to break the rules that I respect so I offer up the following.
It contains source material. If I were you, I'd watch it on youtube and read the comments made under it by members of the Aboriginal community.
I don't wish to debate it or discuss it. People can make up their own minds.
There are actually 71 national parks in Aus that are closed to the public and in most instances, despite what the Gov says, closed to Aboriginals also. (source is the comments from Aboriginal communities all over the country under that vid). cheers.

That judge was chosen under the Biden administration
Don't look at it as a Biden judge did this to Trump. Look at the reasons the decision was made.

First its only an injunction.

And argument for the case is that the policy change is against previously passed laws by Congress.

"NIH had run afoul of the law, citing language attached to funding legislation passed by Congress since 2018 that was designed "to restrict NIH's ability to enact an across-the-board rate reduction."

Whether you or I agree with the decision or Trump's policy, it seems a fairly reasonable argument that the cuts may not be legal. And a matter for the courts to decide.

Also rather then fighting it in the courts, the Republicans control the house, so could bring in laws overriding all this today.

While here is a Supreme Court decision from a day or so ago where a Trump appointment went against him:

Fair enough. You make some good points. If only the resident coward could do the same. This is how he will be referred to from this day forward.

That Elon f**ker must've cut too much efficiency from his space program... Take heed US citizens, your DOGE leader can't even launch one of his own rockets successfully any more?

The US government could use the funding cuts found by DOGE to give SpaceX some funding to fix their issues
