I notice You have a unique way of not letting facts interfere with your opinion...

"In December 2025, President Donald Trump filed a US$10 billion lawsuit"
And in the paragraph directly below:

"But as media scholars, we believe prevailing in court is not necessarily his primary goal. Instead, Trump appears to use lawsuits as a strategic weapon designed to silence his enemies and critics – who sometimes seem to be one and the same in his eyes."

I notice you have a unique way of missing the very point of the articles you post...

Anyway inflation rates have gone up and today with have an increase in the interest rates.. (Such an archaic solution)

Thought I would ask the Google how the rest of the world is going with inflation as I was of the understanding that the whole world was in the same boat...

Key Regional Inflation Trends (Early 2026):
  • Australia: Inflation remains high, reaching 3.8% in late 2025, exceeding forecasts.
  • United States: Inflation has been easing, with reports showing rates around 2.71% in early 2026.
  • Europe: Inflation shows signs of cooling in some nations, with Germany seeing a slight rise in January 2026 while others, like Portugal, see declines.

  • Emerging Economies: Extremely high inflation persists in places like Venezuela, which is projected to have very high rates in 2026.
  • Deflation: Some regions, including China and Fiji, have experienced deflation in 2025.

Tell us you don't get it without telling us you don't get it....
1. Who is us.
2. Firstly correlation does not imply causation. Over the past decade, big gamble have donated $6.24 million to major parties. Labor received $3.07 million and the (former) coalition received $3.17 million. Last election cycle they gave $71,000 to labor. That donation was consistent with donations over the years. Also, it is so paltry that it is hardly going to buy a stay in the introduction of the recommendations under the Murphy Review. Secondly, It wasn't an election promise, so there is no "heat" on them to do anything other than Wilkie banging the drum. Thirdly, If the Murphy Review recommendations were to be implemented, it would impact the NRL and AFL significantly. I suggest to you that TV deals etc and the timing of those are hot topics behind closed doors and raised often by the footy codes.

The Murphy Review recommendations go way beyond just banning ads. It involves a full photo ID check, the banning of inducements ( “Money back if your team loses by less than 10 points” ) and a shitload more.

That ID check thing is a hot potato. The cookers already said that the social media deferment for U16's was simply a ploy to get digital ID. Imagine how their heads will explode if the blue collar gamblers have to produce their photo IDs !

Look you get it Big gambling corps have paid their fair share to both parties probably to ON as well to keep prevent gambling ads from being banned...

Ronalds first shot over in SA...

What do we think peeps
Is he running for lower house or upper house?

Probably won't get in lower house, unless they pick one of the few SA seats where PHON came second to Labor and manage to get preferences from votes for the (former) LNP candidates sufficient to bridge the margin.

They probably get an upper house seat, given the ruinous state the former LNP is in. He's not particularly a drawcard through, any f**ker could stick the orange short on and get their usual one spot in the upper house in this climate of conservative disarray.

Yeah but if any party is going to introduce legislation that has a social conscience, it will be labor. The rest really don't have one.

Has the liberal party introduced anything since the Howard Port Arthur gun laws that actually had a social conscience ?

PS I'm gunna puke if you say marriage equality.

You would expect the labor party to bring it in but have they?

The coalition were never bringing it in but they also are not the government are they now...

Boy even Dutton is making gronk look wrong.

Yes I think Gillard started the gas thing. All the same, the LNP have been at the wheel for a considerable period and have done little to remedy the issue.

What grates everyone’s gears is that companies like Santos extract (our) LPG resources, export it at a price which is way beyond traditional domestic rates and then force us pay for our gas at those inflated rates that the international market pay.

AND just to rub salt in the wounds, the pay NO tax.

How we going with this btw I assume they pay tax now? And our gas is free?
