How many bombs have you seen him catch in first grade?
he did pretty well to get that one back to burty for the 1st try in the 09 semi v the dragons

other than that haven't seen him under a bomb at all ... but i'll give him a 100% strike rate from that one :D

I`ve never seen him make an effective one-on-one tackle. Fullback? You`ve got to be kidding. In the halves your defensive deficiencies can be covered up to some extent, but at fullback, you`re out on your own.

He can't tackle one on one, he's got no pace, he can't kick, and midgets are no good at contesting the high ball.

He's got no f**king chance.

I dont see why people mock the poor guy for having a go while most sit on there fat bums stuffing chips down there throat watching him play....
Id love to see him do well.I dont think he will ever become a great player but possible a handy toiler

When you get paid 200k a year and don't perform you open yourself up to criticism. Yes he tries hard, but he's paid to. Anyone who's paid 200 grand a year but is ineffective in their job will cop it because 'trying' just isn't good enough at that level.

On the topic at hand I think he'd make an awful fullback. Though considering how good he is at kicking down the fullback's throat he should know exactly where to position himself.

2009 finals week 1, Kogarah Oval. Mortimer to Burt, try.

That said, Mortimer's not versatile enough for first grade. He can play well in a team throwing a lot of offloads, but in a low-risk attacking structure we've all seen how he goes.

Someone brought you up in the 'In Memorium' thread in the NRL forum Poupou, you may want to let the world know you're still alive.
