Played for about two hours and were brilliant.

Too early in the morn for moi to work out the international time differences but I believe it might be that her passing fell on the same day that that bloke called Elvis passed away.

In 1996
Geeze I’m getting old

At work we used to listen to 2ws Hans and Kaley.
I had no say in it
However I was exposed to some cracking old music.
I was going to Africa on an over land truck (3 month trip )
So at work I recorded the radio during the day on the old double tape deck.
Then I painfully made a mixed tape.
Songs/artists included...
Lulu - to sir with love
Leaving on a jet plane
California dreaming
Wichita linesman
Stevie wonder
Supremes
Ben E King
James Brown
And
Say a little prayer by Aretha

Now the truck was mostly early 20 yr olds.
By the end of that trip my little mixed tape was the soundtrack.
So much so that one pommie chick made copies for everyone.

There were other trucks in camp sites
They’d be full of poms and have Oasis blaring
Then we’d bust out the mixed tape .


Great memories with music I never thought I’d ever like.
