RIP Mark Moffat, prolific Australian producer, who produced a who's who of mainstream Australian music, including Mondo Rock, Jenny Morris, Mental as Anything and Yothu Yindi.

He was the in-house producer for EMI Records in the 70s where he worked on The Saints debut album ‘I’m Stranded’.

just learned of another one Zoot Money, 60s UK rhythm and blues guy, Andy Summers from the Police was in his Big ROll Band, who later went psychedelic and called themselves Dantalions Chariot. The joined forces with Eric Burdon in the new Animals and did 2 albums with him.

Tim Bowden - journalist for the ABC, but more known for his show “Backchat” which ran for years in the late 80s early 90s.
Who’s this bloke you ask?
Go and watch some stuff on YouTube. His show was the predecessor to Media Watch - whole spends their time ripping apart all media and being brutally honest. 915pm Monday nights on your ABC.
Tim was 87 - as per Media Watch last night.
I even got a bit misty about that one.

It's a long time since I've heard of him. IIRC Backchat was a 5 minute fill in show where people wrote in to complain about the ABC

I've just heard that Marty Morton has passed away aged 82. Any young ones on here won't know Marty but us old timers will. He was on the Super Flying Fun Show in the 70s, Marty and Emu.

At least Marty lived long enough to see the Mighty Emus finally win the comp.

I've mentioned this one before. I remember seeing an older big brother with two little brothers singing at Miranda Fair. They were down from Queensland. Their name was the Bee Gees.
