OT: Feedback on my new Website - Nursery Wall Prints

My wife and I had our first baby in December 2013 and I designed a jungle themed alphabet and numbers print to hang in the nursery. This inspired us to set up a little online store selling Nursery Wall Prints.

We are almost ready to launch and thought I'd put the link to the website here for some feedback if you would be so kind to have a look:

www.nurserywallprints.com.au

I would love your thoughts or suggestions on the site before we launch.

- Do we have enough designs?
- Is the range of designs ok (more girl ones maybe)?
- Is the STORE easy enough to navigate?
- Is the checkout experience smooth?
- Is it clear enough that the prints will come UNFRAMED?

All other comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Poss

It looks really good, website is well designed and I like the prints that I had a look at. I couldn't find anything on the differences between the two paper types though. Naybe add something to the FAQ to explain why you would want the higher quality paper in the larger prints

Very slick. Works well. I didn't look through everything but a few things I would recommend is to have your payment options displayed on the home page (visa, mastercard logos etc) and maybe a ssl image.

Also doesn't seem like you have a paypal option? I run my own ecommerce website and I run at around 50% transactions using paypal. That surprised me but its definitely worth setting one up, that number has risen a fair bit in the last year or two. People are beginning to use paypal for non ebay purchases alot more frequently.

P.s I am sure you probably know this but Pinterest will be your best friend. Your products and imagery are perfect for the women that love that site.

Hey man, I do Pinterest! :)

Back on topic. Nice looking site, and I agree with the comments about PayPal. If I have the option available for PP, I use it every time.

I assume that's all your own original art etc? As a licensing / IP guy, I have to ask. :)

Looks good poss. Agree that paypal is a must

Some friends had a baby recently and I got him sharks gear. Maybe a nursery wall print would have been less cruel

Looks great Poss. Very professional, clean & easy to follow. The products speak for themselves, which is great for those that tend to skip through quickly and ignore product descriptions.

I work in advertising and i think you guys have done extremely well with the website. I would definitely look into using Paypal if you havnt already and the only other question is if these are your original works, for copyright reasons & for you guys to stay out of trouble obviously.
But other than that the prints look great too. Good luck with it guys.

Oh and use facebook too mate. Free advertising is the best advertising you can get and if you want to get your business out there start a page and get everyone you know to share it.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
All helps.

Good idea... Will do that.

After a bit of research, I think I will add PayPal option. I am just trying to set it up now actually and am having a bit of trouble linking my Bank Account to my PayPal Account. Keeps saying it can't be done right now and to try again. Annoying.

Yep, I designed the website and all of the artworks myself :D

I am thinking about adding some footy prints to the Custom Name gallery. Have a footy field with goal posts in all 16 teams colours and they can have their kids names and birth details printed on the field or something like that. Could do AFL teams too.

Yep, we have signed up a Facebook page (there is a link to it on the website Welcome Page and the Contact page too). Each product has the SHARE TO FB, TWITTER and PINTEREST options too.

Out of interest (and if you could be bothered going back to the site).....

If you guys were to order a print for your kids room, which one would you go for?
I have no idea which ones will be more popular and which will be the duds.

Looks good Poss.

I am a fan of Paypal too. I've been buying a lot of elcheapo stuff from my friends in the orient through ebay and have the auto top up working on paypal if my funds are low. Any ebay transaction I made and didn\t have the whop in my PP account PP just grabbed it straight from my bank.

I was a bit worried about being charged from my bank for transferring the top ups into my paypal account but the local bank assured me that there were no fees involved.

I checked with my bank statements and sure as ... all these little paypal transfers and no bank fee. It was cool. Buying stuff from China and delivered to my door for as little as a acouple of bucks.

Poss, one thing I would do is with the contact form I would include a telephone No field. If the client f**ks up their email or you need additional info you will have it on file.

Poss love the website looks neat and tidy and easy to navigate.

Just going to throw this out there.... not everyone knows what these wall arts are for or how they are actually done. I suggest some before and after shots as examples. Maybe get some customers to send you a photo of their finished job and give them some future credit for them helping you out.

I really do think you need some finished wall shots....
