Ive seen some atrocious dancing at nightclubs but that one last night takes the cake. And its an Olympic Sport? What were the IOC thinking?

Even the Dad Dancing on the Sportsbet ads wouldve scored far better.

It's horrid

Apparently they are trying to get it back for the Brisbane Olympics

Apparently breakdancing only got in as an event because the consultant to the world ballroom dancing federation convinced them to go with something that was more youth oriented - and they hadn't even consulted with actual breakdancing crews etc to get consent before it was made a one-off Olympic sport?

So some actual breakers then had to agree to set up the necessary administrative positions from scratch, come up with a scoring system (where previously there was none) and work out entrance criteria and rules etc. Many believe what we are seeing as an Olympic sport doesn't have the "soul" of what breakdancing as a artform or culture actually is... and that what we see at the Olympics is an artificial technical aspect or version only.
