If we can just concentrate on going forward and making metres in the middle, run hard and tackle hard, then the defensive base and effort will keep us in the contest.

I doubt we have the control.

We need to get some options around Gutho and Junior from set situations. Outside of that we've got f**k all otherwise.

Moses needs to get a better kicking game from the last tackle inside the 20. We need better results from him here. Outside of that he's just a waste a space.

Outside of that, our other deficiencies are always going to let us down at the end of the day.

The biggest thing we have going for us is the Panthers are close to a loss.

And others might find it infuriating that some people find any possible reason to criticise the coach. That's cool. For a team in the top 4 with 1 round to go the level of diatribe is ridiculous. BA is far from perfect. But if by some miracle we won the grand final 10-8 you guys would complain about the margin. Rant over.

Who watches the presser? I have never watched one full one. Its boring. I can't even be bothered listening to them analyse the game at completion.
Channel nine have Gallen. Way to reward a convicted drug cheat of the game and put him as a role model. He was never more then a good NRL player. Perhaps during those peak year very good. With a little help perhaps.

That's got bugger all to do with what I was talking about. I'm talking about the relentless and severe crap aimed at the coach, not whether people should be elated with our current performance. Of course we could be playing better, but some people don't seem to be able to live their lives without having an individual to blame for stuff they don't like. I'm not a huge BA fan, but he has done better than ok for the last couple of seasons.

...and when you point out that poor performances are invariably multi-faceted and no one individual is to blame you get accused of 'accepting mediocrity'.

I like BA. He is the type of person I'd love to share success with as a fan. Much more then say Ricky. He is an all round good bloke and very loyal. I feel this is his issue at times.
I don't think he is a super coach and I also doubt he is to blame for our halves not carrying out the game plan. He isn't coaching Moses to give 7 tackle sets or grubbers that hit defense. Imagine the score last night had 5 of those kicks been executed better. One is a try for sure. And I dare say another would of been atleast due to sustained pressure. Then add then one not given that was legit.
26 points is 42-12.....If Moses executes BA game plan that is a true reflection of score imo.....
