Great day at Shark Island Headquarters yesterday.
I usually post the happenings but I was too enamoured by the Greenhills Summer Ale, The Bovine and Swine Eatery and the great company.
Sam and Newms in support with their wives and sprogs caused some interesting talk, which should come into fruition soon. Stay tuned for more music details.

I was up there on Sunday... The Greenhills ale was probably my fave.

That brisket was sensational as well, will definitely go up the next time they have something on.

My only criticism would be lack of seating, I realise it's not every day they have an event on. but a few cheap tables & chairs would have made it a lot more comfortable. The missus pretty much wanted to leave as soon as we ate as there was no where to sit down and have a drink.

I will ask about the seating. There is more and more people coming through each time, aprrox 350 on Saturday, most of them are transient but some beer hogs like me stay a while.
With the growth the boys will have to accommodate, and it is only going to get busier.
I too love the Greenhills and the brisket was supoib.

Can they do it a weekend when I'm not away
I only live about 10 mins away

Next food event April 9th
https://www.facebook.com/events/258578247812054/

They are open every Saturday, one week they have themselves DJ and a bbq, the other week is the Food Truck Event. Pretty soon they will be putting on live music as the alternative week to the Food Truck.
Stay tuned.

I knew I'd started a thread about the Brewery some time....

OK, some in here know and it is now public knowledge so I may as well post it.
The last couple of years I've been doing shifts and work up at Shark Island, since covid lockdowns actually.
Anyway worlds have collided, cows have jumped over the moon, and pigs have been flying...
I'm now the Cellar Door Manager, which means I'm the boss of the bar and the goings on.
If the mods dont mind i will be posting the "Whats on at Shark Island Brewery" every week.
Example:
Friday 10th March 2-10pm
Schooners at middy prices all day/night!
Food truck is Hotdogs of The World (they are awesome!)
Sharks vs Parra at 6pm, better than good chance I'll have this on!!

Saturday 11th March 12-8pm, and Sunday 13th March 12-6pm
Food truck is Big Poppas Food truck. Burgers, fried chicken, fries and smoked meats.
Music on Sunday goes from 1.30-4pm, artist is Grays Point local, Ben Lawes.
Any time outside of Happy Hour anyone from here comes up, if i dont know you just say your screen name and I'll give you your first schooner at a middy price, no wukkas.
Cheers.

I forgot, we also have a new beer out this week. 10 taps of Shark Island and one Howler Cider.
This Pale Ale is a brand new Hop. I've not Tasted it yet but I'm very looking forward to it.

Is that old mate with the kranskys and stuff?
I know the Friday Hot Dogs of the World has the German dog. It's really good, but I haven't had Big Poppas so I don't know.
It's not the fella from Endeavour Field. I'd like to find the original one from a few years ago that only employed the enhanced euro girls.

Now I think of it the van was a German theme. Had an awesome kranski dog out the front of that climbing place in kirrawee.

Will have to come visit Shark Island mate. Congrats on the gig
