I think I've watched maybe 5 games in my life and I'm 63. lived Melbourne for 2 lots of 4 years and couldn't get into the rubbish game. To me it looks a a game for little boys but played by 'men'.

After the Dragons losing, 85,92,93,96,99, the best mind set to have is, expect nothing and party hard if we win.
BTW 85 and 99 we were ripped off we should have been Premiers. 1996 Manly probably would have won, however the referees made sure we had no sniff after the Mathew Ridge incident.
1992 I didn't expect much, I was just happy to see the Dragons make it, after being in the wilderness for 6 years, 1993 they left there worst game of the year for the GF, BTW 1992/1993 they played against a SOO Team.
The bunker is a Junker.

I’m starting to think it’s me. I support the Saints and I “support” the Swans in the sense that if someone says “who is your AFL team?” I’ll respond “Sydney”.


I do like the “Bloods” story though, and expat Melbournite family friends put me onto Sth Melbourne in the 70s due to the same jersey in those days.
But I follow Rugby League.
