5 year contract at $850 k a year.($4.25 million if my maths are right)
Do nearly 1 season(say$850k)and get offered a million.
Would you take it or hang out for more?

Had a chat with a mate about this.
He said you take it because he would get an assistants job somewhere else.
I said it’s not going to pay him anywhere near what he would of got so I’d say stuff them and hold out for more.

He should just sit alongside Birdy and just collect his pay packet for as long as he wants.

I have a good mate up here that tells me an interesting experience he had at the later end of his working life. He happened to accidently slam the fridge door on the head of a younger workmate that was a smart arse. He was subsequently put off work on full pay until all enquiries were extinguished.

His immediate Boss/Supervisor encouraged him to stay home, enjoy life and just collect his pay with a smile. He hoped that the enquiry would last as long as it possibly could because the mate did everyone a favour. I can't remember exactly how long mate was off work on full pay but I think it was 8months to 1 year. He ended up loving it.

So, take your time Anthony. Enjoy your time at home on full pay.

I'm loving it as I watch it all unfold. Draw it out for another few years ..... PLEASE ...

Never take the first offer with anything Foz.

Seibold holds the Aces here.

Broncos are the ones squirming.

He probably also thinks if I couldn’t move on all those dud players on a million dollars a season then why should I make it easy when I’m contracted on similar big money?

He should defn hold out for more. Especially as it'll be a while before he gets another HC gig, if again and he'll make substantially less as an AC, which I'm sure he'll have no problems getting.

Maybe he's more cut out to be an AC instead of a HC. Not all make the step up. Though he was good for Souths.

Looks like it’s official the fat man lady has sung and he’s out.
Thank your blessings we won’t have to see his fat head with that look of “Crickey I shouldn’t have eaten that extra cheeseburger”
Worst is though, I get the feeling he will either tell his story of woe on some outlet or will end up like Griffin and commentate on Foxports.
He did give a spray to the major shareholder up there - hope the cheque clears mate

Bloody Nora ....... So, Ivan Henjak didn't even get a look in?

He is the best man for the job. He has unfinished business

Totally damaged goods.

This guy has gone from coach of the year to a guy who wont ever get a first grade gig again.
Nobody would lend him their car let alone their NRL side. The damage hes done in a season and a half is unprecedented - and he would evwn be doubting his own coaching strategies and philosophies.
Everytning he believed would work didnt and the more he pushed it the worse it got

No club would let him loose to apply the same model on their team nor have faith in him to come up with something new.

He doesn't have the voice for radio or the head for tv.
He will end up a brickies labourer
