Yeah Ron but in fairness your judgement is up to sh*t. I mean you did back the eels 1 to 12 tonight after all.

I think Ron was robbed. The scoreline flattered us really. We were lucky the Sharks were so poor and made plenty of unforced errors. It was the type of game that realistically should have been something like 36 to 32. Both teams defence was pretty woeful at times

Hardly matters what you think, only the result counts

Ricky Stuart has won 13 of his last 60 games Print E-mail

Andrew Hendrie - Death, taxes and Ricky Stuart's coaching career under the microscope again. Unfortunately for Stuart, the latter is becoming an all too regular occurrence during the last few NRL seasons and the all too familiar statistics have reared their ugly head again after the Canberra Raiders slumped to their second successive loss while conceding 50 points in the process.
The Canberra Raiders have looked incredibly lethargic and complacent in defence, while lacking attacking creativity and spark to help inspire intensity across the park.
While the players obviously have to cop some part of the blame, lets take a look at Stuart's coaching record.
Since winning the 2002 premiership with the Roosters in his debut coaching season and reaching the subsequent two grand finals in the following years, Stuart's NRL coaching career has taken a dramatic turn for the worst.
He won 38 out of 91 games for the Sharks; five out of 24 matches for the Eels and so far three out of nine for the Raiders.
To summarise, Stuart's winning percentage as coach has decreased significantly after each reign at his previous clubs - going from 60% at the Roosters, to 42% at the Sharks and onto 21% at the Eels.
Another damning statistic for the former Canberra halfback is that he has only won 13 of his last 60 games as coach.
One thing is for certain, there needs to be immediate change at the nation's capital if the Raiders are going to mount any sort of serious challenge to make this year's finals series.
Whether Stuart is the right man for that job remains to be seen. You simply cannot ignore the consistent downward spiral his coaching career has been on since guiding the Sharks to an equal top of the table finish in 2008.
Stuart should see the remainder of this season as a massive opportunity to prove the doubters wrong.
It's time to make the transition from champion player to champion coach.
This will surely be his last chance.
