Here's the clue, with the same players, a few low money signings - the current coach has doubled the number of wins for the team, improved the structure and appears to have the players happy

No mystery, I didn't want to spell it out literally

Sure he let a few players go, but he was a self centred knob, and it reflects in what he achieves

Rickys signings for Parra.
Peats: A great player but not the first choice. Didnt the Pommy hooker knock us back? And what about Farrah?
Norman: Has been average thus far and probably on a motza. Arthur appears to be fast tracking Matterson as a potential replacement.

Rickys decision not to resign some players and get rid of others were his calling at Parra. For years we were paying overs for many average first graders, hence being an average side

He got rid of some dead wood, that's for sure, credit where credit is due

He got rid of Reni and Cheyse Blair, and Blair is a handy back up IMO. the rest were all off contract, Keating and POH what a footballing mind :lol:. Ryan, Harrison and Mullaney were all let got by BA. Don't let Ricky's delusion fool you. He got Norman and Peats from reserve grade for overs, Peats was an inspired signing and while Norman has been good for us he has hardly been worthy of his 450k pay check.

Hunt = another massive dud, paying overs for him probably cost us Sio

Santi = another dud signing who couldn't even get close to the Tiger's first grade side with all their injuries.


We are paying out 750k for players who aren't even here for this season, thanks to projector gate. BA has done an amazing job and if we can win 3 more games should be a shoo in for the coach of the year.

Bit hard on mossop, just unlucky with injuries this year. I reckon he is going to go real good once he can stay injury free. Big boy, strong in defence and good with ball. I reckon he is also going to provide some real good on field leadership. Let's hope he can get on the field

Mullaney joined a UK club, cause his contracted wasn't extended by RS, he left before BA became coach. Matt Ryan was let go by RS as well not BA.

Ben Smith was looking to retire (also one of Rickys sackings), Arthurs made him play on this year. we all make mistakes I guess.

Norman/hoppa were coming in for Kelly/Tonga ? I also think at the time were weren't banking on another Loko long term injury

Im not suggesting RS would have had a better season if he was till our coach, probably not. But he did improve the makeup of the squad

Mullany signing with Salford was announced on 5th September 2013, well before Brad Arthur was appointed coach.

Ryan would have played on if he hadn't got a gig at a UK club in December 2013

Gower was a BA signing mate, same as Burrito, BA wanted B Smith to stay on because quite frankly our squad is so young and lacking experience. I wouldn't have kept him around but i trust BA knows what he is doing. Keep making excuses for Ricky all you want but Ricky has sent that club backwards in a big way. Not one of their players have shown any sort of improvement then have a look at our squad and besides a few it's the opposite.

Mossop has been a dud signing and anyone who knew anything knew the bloke has shoulders made of glass, shame because he looks like he has talent. The only good thing i can see that Ricky did at this club was leave and take his two useless assistants with him.

Because if we refused to offer a payout he could just refuse to retire and we'd have to pay the lot. Which is what we're doing now.

BA has a better Squad then Ricky.He also has Hayne fit and firing.We all saw what happened a few weeks ago to a team similar to the one ricky had here vs the warriors.

In saying that BA has guys like Seph-Sio playing lot better.And managed to us all the young juniors well.We have had lots of injuries this year too!!

I will say canbera have a stronger side this year than last and had a good run with injuries until today.They have been terrible this year under ricky.Next year they will be worse and that will end is career as a coach.
