I didn't think this show could get any better, but yesterday's episode might have been the best yet. I hear it's been renewed for another couple of seasons.

This will surely be Ricky's last contract as a first grade coach. The excuses for not getting the best out of the squad that he has at his disposal are laughable.

He's just lucky he went to a club that can't afford to cut him and pay him out early - hope he's making some plans for like post-rugby league.

I bumped into Ricky while down at the Canberra Cat Torturing Club this arvo. He said he wants Barry Gommersal to ref all Canberra games.

THE PAST: Given the juniors who were coming through the ranks eight years ago, Parramatta should have been one of the best teams in the years to follow. But poor recruitment and their inability to retain their best young talent caused them to go through five coaches and two consecutive wooden spoons. Reaching the 2009 grand final on the back of Jarryd Hayne magic gave the club a false sense of where it was really at.

THE FUTURE: Brad Arthur is starting to do what the club should have done eight years ago - build from within. He's had to take a punt on some of the club's young talent and it is paying off. He has proven that he is a capable coach, overachieving in his first year in charge. The Eels are on track for their most wins in a season since 2005 and if they can keep Hayne at the club for the rest of his career, regular success may return to Parramatta under Arthur's watch.

So we're almost -1000 over an 8 year period where we made a grand final, and a major semi? That is mighty impressive.

Also, it's a crap table, basically he sets out explaining the Storm cheated, yet still ranks them first. Pointless. they had stacks stripped from them, dump 'em down the ladder as the cheats they are!

I've had a bit of a rethink about this thread and I reckon that plenty of posters, myself included, have gone a bit overboard. Now we're just displaying a victim mentality with our petty desire to get revenge on a guy we perceive to have done us harm. Well, I think we're better than that. At least, I know I'd like to be.

I won't be posting in this thread any more and I'd like to urge others to join me. Let's be the bigger man, and leave Ricky be.
