In alot of respects Sticky is right and the calibre of player at the Raiders is not good enough to get them into the Top 4...but saying it constantly isn't going to help the morale of your players.

Again, just like he did at Parra when he said there will be plenty more 50 point floggings this season, he's given his current squad of players an excuse when they don't perform.

The problem is that Ricky is so easily prepared to sacrifice team morale and attitude for a cheap excuse for himself.

Sums him up.

JT is a good coach too.I prefer BA's attitude but JT will have those tigers playing very good football.I think 2016 on they will be a great team.

Just want to see how you all feel about Ricky Stuart now considering everyone has had ample time to cool down.

Me personally, i dont blame him for a second for leaving this rabble of a club. No one seems to have given him any credit for the clean out which no other coach had the balls to do. He signed some quality players in Peats and Norman, and if Jayne never got injured he would not have gotten the spoon the year he coached us. He cannot be judged for his time at Parra as he never got to finish building the team he wanted. Remember, last season was Rickys team that just missed the finals.

Now watching him at his second year at the raiders, he has proved to me that he is no dope and will in time make the Raiders a major contender. He has already performed his clean out of overpaid pensioners like campo and co. He is not afraid to make big calls and i respect him for that.

And i cannot believe anyone can blame him for the cap problems. Those problems were caused by Kearney and (yes its true), his assistant coach Brad Arthur.

Isn't it 18 months on...?

It was Ricky's choice to break his contract - he is hardly an innocent party and he can be judged for the outcomes of his time here. "Ricky's team" came close to the finals last year, only because they were being coached by someone other than Ricky.

Cap problems were caused by Spags/3P, Osborne, Kearney, Bentley, Stuart - and the rapid changes in club personnel the 3P years .

I will deathride every team that Stuart ever coaches for the rest of his life. I was even going for the Dogs today.
As for our salary cap woes, it was Stuart that moved on players like Jacob Loko, Cheyse Blair, Matt Ryan and Reni Maitua. From what I've read, it's amounted to $750.000 in wages for players that were playing for someone else and we breached our second tier cap to replace them. As it turns out, the way Stuart went about things may have cleaned out some dead wood but it's also got us in the shit. You can hardly blame a CEO or Chairman for that f**kup.
