The Glenmore in the rocks is a top pub, nice little rooftop bar, great views of the harbour.

Beachy at byron is my #1. Its like being in the carribean. whoever decked it out was a genius.

The K.B., The Australian, The Excelsior, Forresters, all at slurry hills and The rose at erko are my other favs. Not for everyone though

Anyone been to "The Golden Sheaf"? at double bay??? ....f**k thats a sick beer garden for an inner city haunt. Tang on tap. Multiball at the Sheaf was one of my all time fav gigs.

Frenzy.

What's the name of the pub in Brisbane where you used to get beer "off the wood"? I think that was the term.

In no particular order:
1. Scarb (the best view you could ever ask for)
2. Northies (despite all the knockers, and yes it may have its faults, its still the best option around here for a decent Sunday arvo)
3. Normanby - I will be back sometime soon to tear this one apart, great vibe.
4. Newport Arms (for earlier mentioned reasons)
5. Beachie

Indeed it is.

Is the Scarb still operating?

If so i wonder if they have invested any money into a refurb?

'decent' is an understatement.

Scarb is currently closed for a refurb.

Im very upset about the state of that area after they opened the sea cliff bridge.

Unbridled hordes everywhere. Where were they when the road was a death trap?

5. Anywhere with the right crew/mates

4. Anywhere that you dont need a mortgage to buy a drink

3. Good music/band

2. Anywhere without Northies security mentality

1. Anywhere that tires the optic nerve.

Guess Im just easily accommodated.

there is a pub in Eden that is great.
Cheap rooms next door and great food.
PLus....sh*t hot bands always play there on route to vic or vice versa.

Oh and it sits right on the cliff that over looks the ocean

No particular order

- Portsea Pub
- Reef hotel Noosa
- Newport
- Breaky creek
- anywhere with a cold beer, TAB, pool tables, feed, music.

The Old Northies would be No. 1 , the new place is just an expensive couple of rooms.

Didn't they shut the doors due to some sort of pokie/land lord problem?

I'll weigh into this one

5
Miami Hotel (miami Gold coast)

What a real beach side pub should bee Reminded me of old northies and served cougar bourbon and coke on tap by the schooner.

4
Taren point hotel
My "local" and once had the best night club the shire had ever seen

3
Beach hotel Byron bay

This place has it all. only problem is while i was there i should have been at shark park watching us beat the dragons not just hecking the local stgeorge supporters

2
the nomanby
Dont know if it was that great a pub or the CSSC guys i was there with made it that way. either way i have good memories of that place

1
Northies
Both in the old and new versions. if you dont like the metros emos and security just ignore them or heckle them about wearing pink shirts or polos with the collar up.

Plus its only a twenty dollar cab from my place and a bus will drop me to sutho after a gillies pizza.

no better way to spend a sunday night
