Yeah I wont be going.

When they send they fine, will fill the 'excuse' form out and say COVID-19, and they will write it off.

They do, you have to fill it out though, they do not care why, just as long as they can record it, snail mail style.

2.8 million people last QLD election, they reckon more than million voted before today.
Ive had a few of those letters.

Never been questioned on my excuses of woke up sick.

I definately think it is a dick of an idea to have the Council Elections today. For the record I voted last wednesday week.

Now some interesting Facts ...............
A friend who is running as a Candidate up here told me yesterday.
26,000 in the electorate
16,000 already voted
leaves 10,000 to vote today.
Some of those will vote by phone or whatever.
He reckoned/was told, that maybe 2,000 to 4,000 won't vote.

Just talking xcel sheet type of figures and stats.

say 6,000 left to vote old style.
We have 10 polling booths.
Average that out = 600 per booth.
600 between 8am and 6pm.

Booths will look like local downtown shops .... hardly a bugger to be seen.

He also told me, no handing out how to votes and that no political adverts were allowed within 100m of the booth gates.

There’ll be plenty of journos packing the joints out to try to find a shot of people within 1.5 metres of each other

Election Day, Saturday 28 March

Around 750,000 Queenslanders have had their say today in the 2020 local government elections.

The preliminary count is currently underway at over 1,300 booths across the State.
