It's very noticeable that some teams with new coaches have improved remarkably in defence this year.

The Dragqueens look like they have got the balance right and will probably be better next year after removing some problem children.

The Tigpies have stockpiled a heap of young guys with talent and when they learn to grind will be far better.

Canberra are again all flash with no ticker and most of the other teams that have been up the top the last few years are showing their age.

Says something about the system that Penrith has developed to be patient with the right young players.
