Both sides were woeful but Broncos especially so. Walsh just strolling in goal as Parra scored that last try was diabolical. They don’t care.

I know it's only round 2, but it is pleasing to see the Boncos and the Faders already under the pump and doing it tough.

Same same so far from Parra, Souffs and the Chooks with them showing consistent inconsistency.

Another couple of rounds will add more highlights to the picture, but I hope that all the Queensland teams continue to struggle along with the smug Faders.

PS: Can the thread name be changed somehow. No point creating a new one for this year, it could go forever then. Just a thought.

Yeah, Ginnane has a man crush over anything Wayne Bennett.

It's almost like he doesn't want to upset the "super coach".

Pity he doesn't call Penrith games the same.
It should have been Vossy calling that moment. I don't care what anyone says, hes the play by play caller of our generation.

Thought the Raiders halves were shocking tonight. Particularly in that final 20.

A lot of panic football in a two point game which didn't make a lot of sense. No repeat sets or getting the Dogs camped in the corner. Then the last two sets of the match both halves are running it on the last and dying with the ball.

The Raiders looked like a team with an inexperienced 7. Chalk and cheese to last year with Fogarty directing them.

Id like to see them on a dry track but they look all at sea. Bulldogs only marginally better.

It was always the knock on them coming into 2026.

A lot of good young talent and I rate both halves but no experience there and it showed tonight. Plenty of fans blaming the ref but I watched them repeatedly squander possession and good field position in that second half. They didn't build any pressure on the Dogs at all.

I’ll be interested to hear Ricky’s thoughts on why perhaps Savage wasn’t allowed to play on late on when he picked the ball up in space. Did the ref rule a double knock on, it didn’t appear to be the case ball knocked on by the dogs seemed to come of a raiders back so I’m not sure what the ruling was. Savage could have gone the length But was denied.

Agree with the no direction from the halves.

Additional to that, 3 middles who are penalty machines. Playing that way always has them behind the eight ball.
