True, if they're no longer the 'Auckland Warriors' (which they're not) then they have to be the 'NZ Warriors', whether it's offical or not.
As pointed out in prior posts, an NRL team has to identify with a geographical location, they have to come from 'somewhere'.
Let's go back to Auckland. The Victoria Storm? The Queensland Broncos? The Western Australia Reds? No, no and no.
Legal reasons, i thought? Something to do with the business known as Auckland Warriors filing for bankruptcy. Could be wrong, though.Why did they change it in the first place, to give the rest of the country an identity with it?
