Keep the bunker, but stock it with common sense staff.
Go back to one referee, how many times this year have we seen the main ref let play go only for the pocket ref, who is further away make a call.
Don't check with every ref, linesman, bunker, bloke in the second row about a call, if you think it's a try, blow it.
Stop the "I think it's a try" rubbish. If you thought that you'd blow it, send it upstairs as an "I have no clue".
Let the bunker rule on forward passes.
Give the bunker a time limit, if you can see it in the first 15 seconds, just rule, 27 different slow motion replays won't change the facts.

I think the bunker should just be used for in goal / touch line try scoring situations only. That would speed up things and get rid of freeze frame slo-mo. 4 pairs of glasses out there can rule on what is between each try line. If they miss blatant stuff then drop em to reserves. Forward passes refs and touchies have a better view than a bunker. If it comes out of the hands backwards then it is ok. Not that hard if you concentrate officials. That will make em smarten up. Yeh sum will be missed and some will be called that are not but so be it..they are the borderline ones.

Broncos enjoyed there standard nrl sponsored free lunch out of their own end last night.having said that sharks had plenty of chances to ice the game. You never hear Wayne complain,.why would you.Storm enjoy the same treatment it’s a franchise thing.

Bye Bye bunker and pocket ref.lets save the money and except human error. The game will flow better. The ref only needs to make if fair for both teams. It will never be perfection.
Say what you may about the Broncos and Bennett but last night showed that the old master is building another serious premiership tilt.
Defence was impressive and his new boys are really starting to contribute.
I for one will never write off a Bennett coached team and would love to have him at St. George with a succession plan in mind.
Let's get serious about winning a few premierships.

His last "succession plan" involved Steve Price.
I'll give his plans a miss.
I'd still take him though.

Little bit different this time.
Last hurrah, great coaching master bowing out gracefully and leaving his final legacy at one of the great traditional clubs of Rugby League etc. etc....
Without being cynical, Wayne was not really focused on our future success once his tenure was over in 2010.

Something is brewing, Souths Coach linked to Broncos. Bennett on the outer...and JD being overlooked again. Bennett assumed he would leave the Broncos on his terms, then retain a nice cushy job on the board. Looks like that may not happen. If all of this happens...who knows how this can play out. Will Bennett just walk away or try for another contract.....elsewhere.

If the Broncos win the title the board look fairly stoopid.

The Broncos are the dark horse of the comp. in my eyes . There is no doubt that Bennett has yet again got his mob playing great footy and at the right time of the year. They have a lot of rep players and also plenty of semi final experience at their disposal,

I hope that we do not come up against them as they will be an entirely different proposition then they were earlier in the season. As for Bennett himself I also would like to see him back as he would get the very best from both the experienced players that Dragons have as well as the ISP lads .

Didnt rate the Broncos at all pre-season.

Looked at their roster and thought they would finish mid-field. Yes they have some strike players, Jimmy the jet, Milf etc, but didnt rate the new kids on the block. ( maybe I just didnt know enough about them ).

Bennett has done a great job holding it together.

His pressers lately show a real resolve IMHO. Like him or hate him, he still loves the game and moreso the Broncos. Dont know whats going to happen up there, but I still think Wayne has a few years left in him to coach / manage a 1st grade footy side.

I dont buy into the age argument, same as I would back a young kid in footy when some would say "he needs more time". If your good enough, nowadays age is but a number.

Doubt they can win the comp, but hey, who knows.

I agree with you in most part but their halves are average as a combo that’s what let’s them down otherwise they’re strong all over the park

Dennis Papaioannou , Should they play Melbourne at any stage ( hopefully not in Melbourne) then I would pick the Broncs to spring an upset and knock them out of the finals . Long way to go I realize , but they have the bit between their teeth and will surprise a lot of teams .

We whinge and complain as Dragons supporters, but it could be worse.
We could follow the Tigers.
Beat St George and Souths, loose to the lowly Bulldogs.

Not totally surprising. When you have 2 big wins against 2 highly fancied teams, there will always be a let down.

Happened to us too when we beat the Roosters and Storm in consecutive weeks.

Manly looking good against the panthers.

I’m going to back the raiders in against the storm, if that happens I’d be very worried if I was a panthers fan that they may just drop out of the 8.

Plus a raiders win is good news for us.
