Trying to figure exactly what our cap $$ we have left hard to know exactly..

Peni Tagive was definetely on 60k source here - http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/spo...-1111115807463

Anyone have any figures for

Dene Halatau

Mcdonell

Galant was on the minimum contract I think is 50 K

Not yet signed-

Payne- I've heard we payed 300k for 2 seasons - 100k first 200k second season

Should have close to 1mil freed through none of those re-signings, however with Brown and Daniela we're down to about 700k and with the upgrades/promotions for youngers/nsw cup we should be close to 400k left I'd say.

I think I may be responsible for repeating incorrect information there. Apologies. He's not fit and assumptions were made, but seems the club is looking to rehabilitate him.

I highly doubt Collis was earning less than Galea.

And I'd be even more dubious of your value for Halatau.

I'd say both were on 220 to 230k

Morris was on $220k,it said in a story when he signed, whilst he was not a half,he played every game and tried his guts out,we got good value,Sheens misused him.

You have to laugh, people go through this process every year, the bottom line we have no idea. We dont know who have backloaded components to their contracts,we dont know who have had upgrades we dont know what younger guys are being payed extra's out of the main cap and more importantly we have absolute no idea what individual players contracts are worth and their terms. So to come up with any figure is pure speculation and knowing the way things are done in tiger town I think we are probably closer to the limit than a lot of people think

I'm not convinced that we ever acutally spend the full cap.
Then how do you explain the breach notice and $10K fine we got slugged with a couple of years back? How do you explain the concern about Skando's twelve-bucks-an-hour plus expenses job pushing us over the limit mi-year?

I reckon we have 600+ with Payne and Galea gone...

Hopefully now the leagues club has stopped leaking $$ they can pump it all into the team... Sheens could easily sign a few more reserve grader outside backs and another 2 -3 second rowers

[FONT=&quot]From memory they weren't fines for actually being over the cap.

They were for technical breaches like not declaring payments from sponsors or whatever. They didn't say they were for ‘spending X amount over the cap’.

I also remember a comment from Tim Sheens during the whole KPI saga that it wasn't fair to impose KPIs such as 'make the finals' or 'win this many games' if they weren't prepared to spend the full cap each season.

I think management like to cite cap pressure as a cover for any general financial constraints the club may be experiencing at a particular time.

I find it hard to believe, with the squad we have compared to other sides, that we could be near or over the cap. If we are then heads need to roll, imo

The leagues club is only being propped up by Benny. Their support of the football club wont increase until the developement is well and trully finished I'd think.
