What is our future and how do we plan to get there?

We are well short of forwards Blake Laurie is a speedhump and wouldn’t get a 1st grade jersey elsewhere - so with that in mind where are they going to get SEVERAL more forwards to elevate us up the ladder.
They are sure not going to pull them out of their arse because we have none left.
You’re got the Bears and the PNG teams coming so….
Can St George management tell me (I’m listening) where the hell are we going to get some forwards from … AND BETTER - what is the greater plan to not only elevate up the table but to POSSIBLY (actually) win a comp in the next decade.

Now correct me if I’m wrong BUT we have NO chance in the long foreseeable future.
Dumbarses.

the reality of where we now are.
Smallest crowds in the comp
Nobody decent wants to join us
Sign journeymen at the end of their careers.
Ask your friends who support other teams who they would want from our team in theirs… the answers are depressing and a sad reality check…
We have become Illawarra again… and run the risk of merging with the Sharks as the southern coast franchise within 10 years.

Not saying I am happy about it.. just get that feel with vlandy’s expansion vision.
I am watching a once great club slide continuously down since the Bennett 3 years of joy… feels like a lonnnnnnng time ago.

Griffin took us backwards 5 years. Flanno is doing no better. James Maloney spoke about how good his coaches were across his career and he was coached by some of the best in the game. However, he was happy to point out that there was one coach he played under who had 'no idea'. Who couldn't coach. He stated that the players ran the team. It was clearly a reference to Flanno and from what I've seen dished up over the last 18 months, it's hard to argue. I also think it's part of the reason we can't attract the big names. I know there is a dearth of good coaches out there but we need to do something quick before our juniors walk. Why would they not want to play for a club where they can be developed into top line players, reach their potential and enjoy winning along the way? I know what I'd be doing. Such a shame because we have the best crop of young forwards coming through that we've had in a long time.15 years of mediocrity and not looking like changing. So goddamn frustrating, following this club.

This is it JJ, a once great club when there was unlimited tackles and no salary cap. Who is to say that if those circumstances continued up to and including the current NRL games, we might have won several more on the trot and then eventually stopped our undefeated run of grand final victories in a row and then say Brisbane coming into the comp which they did and then winning umpteen grand finals in a row and so on with other teams.

As I see it, Penrith has done better than the Dragons in winning so far 4 in a row because they are playing under the constraints of the salary cap and the 6 tackle rule. Somehow I don't think that the once mighty Dragons in the 50's and 60's would have won so many on the trot if the rules were like today but maybe others might have a different opinion to mine.

It looks like the Panthers could be now known as the Mighty Panthers.

Are you sure it was Flanno? Because he also played under Griffin at Penrith and Brian McLennan at the Warriors, both of whom were sacked.

The future? Grim. In this case the light at the end of the tunnel is a train.
Yes I understand your grim feelings with the current train driver going in the wrong south direction on course to meet that wooden spoon train you are referring to.
Have faith we swap drivers to go in the north direction and there will be plenty of light coming out of the north tunnel.
A new direction will be a breadth of fresh air.
You just need to get on the NEW gravy train
