Our halves scare me

Said it all year. If barba gets taken out early in a finals game, I'm not sure we have the right replacements to step up. As good as Reynolds is, he is a kid. Keating and Hodko have well documented issues. Sure we have a creative forward pack but not sure if we can win it with the halves that we have

Souffs have more talent (spread across the park) then us. If Barba gets injured I could see a Manly vs Souffs GF. Actually I'd say that manly would be the value bet at the moment. Proven big time players and guys that just love finals football

Not so sure. Smith played in 4 of their 5 losses in a row. Billy only played in the one. As soon as he was back to close to 100% fitness they smashed the Panthers. Like Bulldogs and Barba, Melbourne's scoring plays rely a lot on Billy's speed and skill to be executed properly. Storm also lose their 5/8 when Billy is out, if Smith is out they have a pretty good hooker in Hinchcliffe who can step in. When Billy is out they Kostjasyn in the halves

Can Manly now overcome Moffo's evil witchcraft?

Ben Barba has more tries, line breaks, tackle busts, offloads and try assists. Not to mention he has a better passing, kicking and support running game. People still seem think that Barba has these defensive issues and is suspect under the high ball but he has made some of the best one on one try saving tackles this year including one on Inglis when he was running at full speed

He has played a lot more club games this year

If the Rooster's were patient they could be a top side in a couple of years. They have a heap of great young players like Cordner, Kennedy, Moga, Guerra, Tasi and Waerea-Hargreaves. I don't see why they need to get SBW if it means they may lose a couple of their younger players due to the salary cap and then have SBW piss off a year later. If they wanted to buy a big name player they should wait another year and make a play for Thurston IMO
