didnt see the tackle but sounds like lulia will be suspended?

Pfffft no he wont. It was soft as sh*t and Hohaia got straight up

OT, We played better than the last few weeks but were let down by 3-4 really bad moments (Scotts 3 poor defencive displays and Hilders awful pass).

Look on the bright side fellas, Sau learned to pass before the line

I suppose we can take solace in the fact that Newcastle at least aren't the worst team in the NRL this year. I'm glad I was there for what will probably be the best win in the season for the Knights. It seems like another lifetime ago when Newcastle were pulling crowds of 18k every second weekend and a win at home could be depended on like the sun coming up.

And to think people were worried that the Storm match in round 26 could influence the Knights' finals chances!

Our forward pack is absolutely pathetic. No leg-drive whatsoever, they run up to the line and surrender like a pillow. What the f**k.

Taufua and Tolar are specialists at it.
There was a stage there in first half when we were close to the line when mullen goes to the line and holds the ball up looking for a forward to hit the hole at pace...he turns and its ole lumbering tolar on his inside..the hole closes because ....well...Tolar takes 2 lameass steps and is tackled
If there was anyyyyyyyyy chance of doing what he was talking about in thursdays love fest herald league section about leading by actions then that was it...
and he dishes up his usual no pentration 2m run
Mullen was left shaking his head

So are they any chance of enlightening us as to when they're actually going to start having a go?

He could just say nothing at all? lol

But seriously guys if you took out Dureau yesterday we had a really good shot, I think next week with Mullen and Rogers in halves, with old skipper back, we really could have a chance  maybe??

If he's asked a question by the media - "so is the season over for the Knights?" he can only give one answer! (and 'no comment' is not it :p)

True, but it would be nice to hear some genuine comments about their lack of performance and desire, the platitudes are starting to wear a little thin.

A bloke like Cross is playing for a new contract and he offers up little, week in and out.

Tolar was captain and frankly, he's an embarassment, he hits line with nothing, can't offload and is contantly dominated. It wasn't one of the great captains knocks yesterday.

I'd much prefer if the players didn't say anything except "sorry you wasted your time and money yesterday" Until they start performing, they've lost the right to offer any comments.

Stone did talk about their desire...the quotes are in today's Herald (taken from yesterdays press conference)

Stone questioned whether his players had shown sufficient desire.
"You're playing at home, you're a first-grade footy player, you need pride in your own performance," Stone said. "Desire shouldn't be an issue as far as I'm concerned."

That was also in response to a question along the lines of "where was the desire from the players today, given where the Knights are on the table?" and Stone also commented on the table factor as well, more or less hinting that there was no excuse for the players not to be motivated.

So the players don't give a toss about what he says and they just do whatever they want anyway?

Sounds like there are bigger issues amongst the player group that hasn't made it to the papers

Team moral looks very low

it's as obvious as dogs balls... and has been all year. there are serious problems in these blokes heads. they just arn't mentally there at all right now.

i don't know if it's personally a motivation thing.. or whether it's a drama.. or what the problem is.. but there's a problem there for sure. the club is so tight lipped on our current situation.. very frustrating. how long are we going to keep copping the same lip service crap in the papers, media conferences, radio interviews and the rest of it before someone puts their hand up and says "ok... here's what the problem has been, sorry about that. we've been taking you blokes for a dead set ride this year, and there are reasons to expect better for next year".
