Our Situation as a Club is beyond bad or tragic, it's disturbing.

Yes since 1986 we've had a losing culture. You remember we did the hard times under the previous board.

Ok so I went back 15 years and 8 times out of 15 we competed in the semis. 7 times (including 2012) we did not make the semis. That's an inconsistent winning pattern but certainly not a losing culture. I appreciate that we all want to be like Storm, but in reality who has been consistent and represents the winning culture that you desire to emulate ? Brisbane who had a rubbery cap like Storm all those years ?

I'm not being an apologist for mediocre performances, I'm just saying that maybe we're placing unrealistic expectations on the club ? For mine the goal of our club should be to make the semis more often than not as that then gives you a shot at the title, which is as hard to win as the Melbourne Cup.

Gronk,

Can you do the graph up until 2020.
I wanna know whether to bother thinking about getting a season ticket for the next 8 years.

Thanks in advance.

Gronk that graph looks like the one Al Gore used to try and prove that global warming was happening and that temps were rising and droughts were happening etc.
He was wrong.

It goes back to the new board making a terrible hire in Osborne. I was absolutely gob-smacked when they announced it. I am not a parra supporter, but I was aware of what Osborne was like, in fact everyone should have been.

That bad hire led to a series of very poor decisions. Sacking Daniel Anderson, hiring a rookie untested coach to manage an aging list. The rebuild could have happened under Anderson. He was a proven coach, he has won comps in England been to a number of GFs including one with your club. Obviously that side had issues then, but why would anyone think steven kearney would help that when a seasoned coach couldnt? Its that kind of amateur play you guys need to stop. You are a big club up there with the broncos, saints, knights etc in terms of supporter base and money you can generate, you need to start acting like one. First step is to get some proper professionals into the executive spots. Then you need to get a seasoned coach to sort this mess out and move forward.

Jack Gibson was right, success starts in your front office and if you don't get that right its a disaster from there. Now, you guys have wasted another three years and the situation is much much worse. Now instead of enduring a couple of avg seasons you are going to have to finish last before it improves.

Yeah, but when asked why the team had started winning in 09, he said he didn't know, so he's a shit coach. :sarcasm::sarcasm:

Well Doris is dead Suity, so looks like Yuri is the go-to man.

BTW he can fix that bent cutlery for you at the same time too.

I'm guessing he's a little more relaxed these days now that Don Lane is gone too.

And what do we have to show for it???? Nothing, we lost the unloseable GF in 01 and we were unbackable favourites against the Cowboys in 05 and didn't show up. How many games over the years have we meant to win easy and lost???? Why is it always after a good season when we are expected to do well and go close do we play like Shit????? 02,06,08 and of course that absolutely outstanding season in 2010  That is more than a soft underbelly that is a losing culture to a tee.......

Losing the big games is more of a choking culture not a losing culture. What do we have to show for it? Two minor premierships for one thing. They are something you know. 2006, 2007 and 2009 we could have been anything if not for a team with a perceived 'winning culture':sarcasm:

Parramatta hasn't been good at handling expectation, that's obvious. But from 1998-2007 our only really bad year was 2004. Making the finals 8 out of 10 times, with these senior players that have brought on the so-called losing culture, doesn't seem like much of a losing culture to me. In fact we only really started to go bad in the last two years. So if anything it's the newer recruits and players that have brought on this 'losing culture'.
