might be worth giving stanley another run, maybe 5/8 move soward to half, hornby to hooker, we need some variety.

Our attack should of been addressed a month ago.
It's okay to tackle well - but at some point you have to score tries and do it well.
as apposed to jay your way through.
We've been found out - again
that team that beat melbourne in O9 at home is long gone.
they're right to say what ever they like but the truth is - we're gone!

and you should be gone, like kkk offer nothing but sh*t.

Unlike 2009 though, our attacking slump in in July/August, its really good timing, for us to hit rock bottom and start building form & confidence into the finals.. there are no guarantees, but I think the timing is very good.

I did get a bit annoyed watching Cooper & Morris pushing the same play with no room and losing possession though.

It's never good watching the team turn up like that but what the TheRev said, our slum is happening earlier then last year and this time around we arent getting flogged by 50...there was a combined total of 5 points in the losses of last two weeks and we lost by 4 against the Panthers... I'mm not worrying just yet, the boys will turn up when it matters!

..."I did get a bit annoyed watching Cooper & Morris pushing the same play with no room and losing possession though."
Agreed. Frustratingly predictable. It's part of the set play mentality that kills off the spontaneity of playing what's in front of you.

..." the massive cracks that are appearing this far into the season"
That was last year. Dell's retired.

If all those type of decisions went our way ( like forward pass tries etc) then we'd be in front of your mob as would other teams.
Can't wait to see the Manly pack run straight through the dragons paper thin pack, even with weyman. You lot aren't in a slump - it's just the annual choke-athon arrived a few weeks earlier that's all.

Who the hell are you? I guess we'll never see you again when we beat you guys in the finals. That's if you even get there to start with.

Our biggest problem is that other teams have worked out that to beat us they need to skate the fine line of being off-side. The refs will only penalise for a while until the penalty counts starts looking lopsided. They the allow the other teams to be offside and we have struggled to score points in the 20 minutes after half time lately.

In the wet the extra possession we have been getting from early penalties has been nullified by the rain making it harder to score. Not getting points with the possession comes back and bites us on the arse when the ref allows the opposition to stand off-side. Matt Elliott saw it happen to us against the Sea Eagles in the wet and admitted using the same tactic. The Panthers defended well early with the help of the wet weather and then didn't get penalised in the second half. The eagles actually got a couple of early penaties in that game and it was 12 nil after 10 minutes. We then had a lot of posession but Manly kept their defensive line off-side, they kept testing the ref and eventually the ref gave up. The Titans saw this in both those games and did the same. The Warriors tried it and nearly beat us. Souths also..............In the past, refs binned a player if a team repeatedly infringed. This season they have shown they are gutless to do this. If this offside is allowed, we will struggle.

Bennett really needs to bring this up just before the finals or if our slump gets to dire straights. It will force the refs to stop this constant off side business teams have been using against us.

Sounds good! I have wanted to see Hornby play at No 9 all year it's a perfect time to try it like he did with Berrigan in 06.

KKW is not so tough after the Knights game

And given Manly are on 24 with
Storm H (Saturday after playing Monday)
Dragons A (Monday night at Kogarah = no Manly fans)
Warriors H (Saturday after playing us on Monday)
Roosters A (those easybeats in a form slump)
Dogs

You'd think that they need to win 3 of these to make the finals
Maybe a case of premature ejaculation on KKW's part methinks!:sarcasm:
