Wait! I change my team:

My team:

1. David Seage
2. Milton Thaiday
3. Matthew Gidley
4. Brad Tighe
5. George Carmont
6. Jarrod Mullen
7. Andrew Johns
8. Craig Smith
9. Danny Buderus
10. Adam Woolnough
11. Steve Simpson
12. Clint Newton
13. Kirk Reynoldson

14. Daniel Tolar
15. Matthew White
16. Reegan Tanner
17. Riley Brown/Craig Hall(If Brown's unavailable)

I like that team, but I would probably put K. Gidley somewhere on the bench as an impact player, which would run great when the opposition gets tired, and is also a great defender.

I dont think White deserves his spot, Swap White with Snowden.

yeah, the knights are looking sensational.
i reckon they will beat the broncos by 40 and then go on a 10 game win streak and make the 8.

What the hell is with people putting Kurt Gidley in their lineup`s at Centre???? He`d get annihilated at Centre. I however do agree with you (Jono) bring him off the bench as a "Impact player" soto speak, that could work I think really well. I like the thought of two backs on the bench, with two forwards.

I cant See Quinn getting dropped JM. Im wanting the Quinn Thaiday combo on the wing, with M.Gids and Tighe in the Centres..but Georgie will prob get the nod over Tighe.

To be honest with you I dont think Tigh's ripe for FG yet, and dont forget Hag's is going to want to name because he can the most experienced team we've fielded in about 12 months.

Either way its going to be the best team in a long time.

What makes you think he'd get a smashed at center? He's fit, can defend, isn't exactly slow...

When he isn't injured he's usually the fittest bloke in the team.

He's 183 centimeters, which is big enough for center, and if you can defend against bigger blokes, which he's proven he can, the size doesn't really make much difference.

Kurt .............. not fit?????? I don't think thats the case JT, although it is ur opinion and ur entitled to it, Kurt got the highest result in the "beep test" the Knights do at the start of the year. I think he got to about level 17 or something, now that is very very good.

Yeah I know Benny, which is my point.(It was either 17 or 15, but even if it was 15, thats also very very good) Kurt is very very fit, when he's not injured.........

Kurt Gidley did top the Big League Beep Test column earlier in the year with 17.3.

Kurt is NOT a playmaker, however is one of the most enthusaistic players running around. The reason he playwed well in that position last year was his kick and chase, which I am sure everyone will agree. This sort of enthusaism is what we need in the backs. I was ropable last week when the players just went through the motions in the remaining minutes last week.

Kurt would have tried a chip and chase or something that might not have pulled off, but at least it would show that we bloody wanted to win the game!!!

If you want him on the bench as a 'backs utility' why do you say he would get annhiliated at centre. Knowing the pathetic standards of conditioning at the Knights, one of our centres will go down injured and he'd have to come on there anyway. Your reasoning defies logic and I don't think you fully understand football, John Travolta.

On another note, I am unaware on the contract situation of Hughes and Perry. Are they signed for the 2006 season?

I think the biggest mistake this season was letting Parsons go. Even a match payment situation would have helped us more than what is currently going on.

Kiddley dose what he is tought. Nothing more which is what makes him so different from Johns. Joey will try the differnt things were as Kiddley wont.

Kidley is the fittest bloke in the club. Of the various positions I've seen him play I reckon centre is by far his best option. He isn't going to be anything special at 5/8th, he's had plenty of time to show his abilities there, and they are limited. The worst thing they could do is persist with him there at the expense of a guy like Mullen. Because in the end Mullen will do what a dozen Halfbacks behind Johns have done...Leave. That would be tragic for the club. Kidley is a brilliant defender, can throw good passes, and is strong, he is an ideal centre prospect.

Kidleys best game ever was his Country game last year where he came on as a centre. Showed great enthusiasm in the kick chase, great defense and looked very dangerous when giving some room to move.
