Kurt Gidley did top the Big League Beep Test column earlier in the year with 17.3.
Kurt is NOT a playmaker, however is one of the most enthusaistic players running around. The reason he playwed well in that position last year was his kick and chase, which I am sure everyone will agree. This sort of enthusaism is what we need in the backs. I was ropable last week when the players just went through the motions in the remaining minutes last week.
Kurt would have tried a chip and chase or something that might not have pulled off, but at least it would show that we bloody wanted to win the game!!!
If you want him on the bench as a 'backs utility' why do you say he would get annhiliated at centre. Knowing the pathetic standards of conditioning at the Knights, one of our centres will go down injured and he'd have to come on there anyway. Your reasoning defies logic and I don't think you fully understand football, John Travolta.
On another note, I am unaware on the contract situation of Hughes and Perry. Are they signed for the 2006 season?
I think the biggest mistake this season was letting Parsons go. Even a match payment situation would have helped us more than what is currently going on.
