I haven't seen such a shithouse performance from us in a long time.

Benji was f**ken terrible and I can't think of anyone who really played well.

f**ken embarrassing.

If Hino can get away with whatever it is he does every week, then Blair's got no chance of being dropped.

For me some telling issues are:

*Benji - 2 runs for 13m - His greatest asset is his ability to run the ball and take on the line. Since being shifted to halfback, he has adopted this pointless, ineffective and highly aggravating sideways shit which creates f**king nothing. He needs room to move.

*Galloway 14 hit ups. Our entire starting back row had 13 hit ups. Bell is a defender. Hino made good metres, Blair just did f**k all. But seriously, all 3 need to lift their games massively. Our props are carrying this f**king pack! They need support.

*Benji - 8 missed tackles. His defence is horrible when he's at 7. This year alone his stats defensively for each position are:
At five-eighth - 8 games - 83 tackles made, 20 missed - 80.58%
At halfback - 7 games - 74 tackles made, 39 missed - 65.49%

In his last 4 games Benji has ahd the following running stats:
Round 13 - 2 runs for 17m
Round 14 - 2 runs for 8m
Round 15 - 3 runs for 12m
Round 16 - 2 runs for 13m
Total - 9 runs for 50m

Tuqiri's hands and his rushing up and in is killing us. Utai has started doing the same defensively in the last 3 weeks. Lawrence rushes up to try and keep his outside man in position, so as not to have himself stranded against an overlap.

Ryan to fullback will be good, but we need Moltzen back in the halves.

Sheens surely has to be close to dropping Blair. He can't keep getting away with ordinary performances. Ayshford and Reddy must be close to getting the sack.

I recall there was a thread here some time ago commenting on Blair and Teflon commenting that the did not expect much from Blair in the first season. With that mentality at the top there is no hope Blair will be dropped and told to find his feet or else.

AS to Ayshford and Reddy, I dont mind keeping Ayshford but Reddy's recruitment was always a puzzler. Mind you lots of our recruitment has been puzzling to me over the lastr few seasons.

Sironen is back after the bye isn't he? That'll help.
Moltzen apparently out 3 weeks. Imagine we'll see:
1. Ryan
2. Utai
3. Ayshford
4. Lawrence.
5. Lote
6. Sirro
7. Benji

I'd be willing to try Sirro at 7 just to get Benji back at 6.

benji defends better there and Sirro is a very good defender for his age, it'd give Benji his freedom and will allow him to play on Farah's favourite side of the field.

This merrygoround in positions and persistance with playing people out of natural position mixed with puzzling recruitment for next year bodes ill for us in 2013.

What is the plan??????????????

hope for 15 clubs to cheat the salary cap and that one of them isn't the Wests Tigers.

They have had two days off including a funeral.

Judge them after the bye.

I agree with most of your sentiments bar Ayshford, pedestrain at best and below even Reddy atm. BRET is calling him big time

The thing that burns me the most is that last week verse the Roosters when we should've laid done using what happened as an excuse rather than a motivator & now that Robbie is back, they can only put in for 20mins against one of the worst teams in the comp!! F**k they tick me off!!!

You do realise who our coach is, right?

Heard him on the radio after the game. Sheens was mad with the performance but the next sentence was the NSW cup side lost and the 20's just won. He was already making excuses not to drop any one. Our players are too comfortable and know they will never get dropped no matter who inept a performance they put in.

I think Sheens is still a top coach in the NRL, however we must sack him at the end of the year. He has been here too long and is too close to the players to make the tough calls, the players aren't listening to his message. He has to go.

What do you mean defends better at 7?
Is there some kind of magical halfback defensive position i am not aware of? They defend where the coach puts them, irrespective of the number on their back.

The Sheik nails it. The players didn't aim up. Benji was all over the place.

Blair and Benji though to me were the two that needed to be singled out. There were other problems but those two are a big part of the inept performance. Benji was worse than Blair however Blair has been ordinary all season plus he is on big dollars. Benji has basically had a good season although last night was f**ken atrocious.

Gents, the team played like crap last night no questions about it. This loss along with the loss to the Rooster is going to cost us big time. Our run home is far from easy.

The problem starts and finishes, in my opinion, with Sheens. His selections and his continual chopping and changing of positions to accommodate ridiculous bench rotations is killing us. I ask the question, how does a player get used to forming a combination with those around him when he is playing so many different positions (and many they are not good at). Therefore, is it the player who is to blame or the coach? I'd suggest the latter.

He needs to get three big forwards on the bench (perhaps Cashmere, Moors & BMM) and a genuine utility (perhaps Humble) and swap position for position. Not totally reshuffling the team because he has selected the wrong bench. These bench selections are killing our props and it will come back to haunt us.

Look at Bellamy, Hasler and Griffin and their bench and how they are used...not like the goose controlling this team. Like Blair, Sheens has got to be shown the door next year, he is killing this team and making good footballers into bad ones...
