Our worst performance

Please let's not forget the turnstile defense of Reddy last night, he was disgraceful and didn't even commit to one thing or another.

They have had two days off including a funeral.

Judge them after the bye.

Bullshit. Farah would be the only one I'd excuse a piss poor effort from last night, and he was our best on the pitch. If they all aimed up like he did we'd have put 50 on the Knights.

The rest of the team had excuses. They f**king crumbled against a shit opposition that the likes of Bulldogs or Melbourne would have smacked.

My highlight was when Reddy rushed up for God knows what reason, misses everyone, trips over himself and the Knights score. Classic Reddy

What do you mean defends better at 7?
Is there some kind of magical halfback defensive position i am not aware of? They defend where the coach puts them, irrespective of the number on their back.
I said he defends better at 6 for starters.

The stats don't lie. 37 missed tackles by Benji in his last 6 games. 22 for the 9 games prior to that.

He runs the ball less, he's defending on Blair's side, not Fulton's. Fulton helps Benji with defence, Blair is a crap defender for a forward meaning there's a much bigger gap for opposing teams to run through out there.

The coach has been putting players all over the shop all year.

What an embarrassing display by a disorganised rabble disguised as 'footballers'. It is high time that the 'lucky dip' team selection was axed and players put in their correct position.
The whole teams defense is in tatters, some coming up, some staying back and others filing behind. They made the knights look as if they were world beaters with their finger tackling and ballroom dancing defense techniques. Tigers forwards are incapable of denting defense line little own busting it. Gallaway is plainly too slow, woods is being burnt out, heighington does the same move for some 7 years, as for blair, must be the smartest player because he gets huge money for doing not much. Super coach sheens indicated that it would take blair 12 months to fit in. Fit in f**ken what? Is he purchasing a new suit with bigger pockets? Ellis (hell we miss him) too up the challenge and succeeded in virtually no time.
Taking a world class running 5/8th and making him into an average 1/2 back could only be achieved by a genius coach. Aysford tries hard but is not a 5/8th. Reddy is just a pointer (they went that-away) and has major deficiencies that he inherited from parra (should have stayed there.) Lote is old and confused because he does not comprehend that he is a winger and gets caught constantly out of position.
Time is up for coach sheens and under performing pets. It is bad enough getting beaten but I cannot stomach a decisive mauling.

Don't know what anyone sees in Reddy, in addition to being a dreadful defender he is slow as a wet week.

A Parramatta reject.

Never understood his signing and his constant selection in first grade.

All it did was put both Lawrence and Ayshford out of position for parts of the year which has killed off any chance they had of finding form, confidence and consistency.

Can't catch, poor leap, slow, has next to no step, slow lateral mover, clutches in defence. I just don't get what it is Sheens saw in him. Lawrence and an out of form Ayhford are still better than Reddy.

He does do some good things. The problem is that he does a lot more poor things and his defence is as bad as it gets.

Whinge whinge whinge.....

Newcastle didnt allow the Tigers to play well. A high completion rate and keeping the Tigers down their own end for the majority of the match led the Knights to that big win. Give credit to where credit is due instead of being a poor loser.

BTW, Newcastle have already "smacked" the Bulldogs in Sydney and narrowly lost to Melbourne in Melbourne.... FYI

Best of luck for the rest of the year

doesn't everyone have that ability though? It's not like he possesses anything special

Reddy has never done anything significant in his career to date and at this stage of his career i doubt things are ever going to change. I have bagged him in the past and others have suggested that he has had limited opportunities, this is partly true... he has limited ability,no attack, who is a clumsy knock on specialist who is a liability along with Blair and Benji in defence.Another great signing, wasting WT salary cap dollars.

Reddy is currently being wasted. Fair enough if he was going to come into the side if Utai, Ayshford, Moltzen, Tuqiri, Ryan or Lawrence were dropped to NSW Cup for underperforming, but this whole concept of trying to fit all these of them into the backline at the expense of a genuine ball player in the halves is an absolute debacle.

I can understand pushing Benji to halfback to accommodate Sironen, but the team would be better served by bringing another ball player into the halves. Ideally I'd prefer Moltzen in the halves and Ryan at fullback just to get Moltzen out of the #1 jersey, but that's no chance of happening anymore, so surely Humble or Chisholm would be better than Ayshford or Lawrence at pivot.

I don't usually take much notice of statistics, but couldn't help taking a peek. Interestingly (or should I say sadly) Beau Ryan has 219 hitups for 1,628 metres gained, SECOND only to Aaron Woods with 243 hitups for 2,091 metres gained.

Therein lies a tale of WT's 2012 woes....well done to Beau & Woods, but what about the rest of them????? Nowhere to be seen........

After reading what Fordy20 said 2 posts down as well as what MU said
Time to put a few out of form/poor performers into NSW Cup
in the
Force poor performers to step up thread, I think we all agree that Sheens is the big problem because he won't drop players. The way I see it:

Sheens is happy that he has a few groups of players rather than one group of 17. I don’t mean the 2 groups like Fifita suggested, I think that there are a groups that we as supporters do not see or hear about but actually do exist, let me explain;
Group 1 - players who are not playing well who Sheens is happy to stick with: Blair, Heighno and Moltzen are the starting 3 who easily fall into this group. Of the 3 and let’s assume we had everyone available, I’d be very happy for Heighno to go to BRET, Blair and Moltzen to Group 5.

Group 2 – players who Sheens must have had sole responsibility in the recruitment of: This group consists of Blair, Cashmere and Reddy for this season and not one of them really deserves to be in the starting 13 or even the 17 each week. In Blair’s case, Sheens actually came out and said,
He's not here to score 10 tries a game,'' Sheens said. ''He's not a spine player, he's a worker, and he's never let us down. He's played almost every minute of every game, so we're getting value
.
He sticks with guys out of some sense of blind loyalty. Of the 3, I’d be very happy if Cashmere and Reddy went to BRET.

Group 3 – confused players because of the role or positions that they are playing: Of late I must say that one of the most important players we have, falls into this group, i.e. Marshall. Then there’s Lawrence and Ayshford to young fine centres who have been shifted to 5/8 in recent times. Do they know their role? are they aware of what Sheens has in store for them going forward?

Group 4 – players who carry the rest with consistent efforts each week: Thanks god for Woods, Farah, Fulton, Bell and Ryan and I think I’d add Galloway to this group as well. However, Lawrence and Ayshford could easily be included here if they knew what was happening with their own position.

Group 5 – bench warmers: To me, this group should be a settled 4 the problem is however the starting 13 is not settled. I’d have BMM, Moltzen, Moors and Blair here and their backup would be Heighno, Sironen, Cashmere and Meaney.

Group 6 – the guys who have no idea where they stand. Jacob Miller, Sean Meaney and I guess Humble and Moors fall into this group as well,

If we had Ellis and Fulton available my team to finish the year would be:

1. Ryan,
2. Utai,
3. Ayshford,
4. Lawrence,
5. Tuquiri,
6. Marshall,
7. Humble - Humble also provides coverage for Farah meaning that Iosefa is not required.
8. Woods
9. Farah
10. Galloway
11. Ellis
12. Fulton
13. Bell
14. Murdoch Masila,
15. Moors
16. Blair
17. Moltzen is the reserve back that Sheens is happy with but that doesn’t mean he has to get a run .

i would have moltzen over humble at 7 any day of the week.. not only is he a better halfback, but if noone gets injured where does he come on? whereas humble is ok for a 10minute hooker stint
