I love it.

I think you have to have a certain level of maturity and worldliness to appreciate it. Travelling a lot to different time zones helps as well.

It's not meant to be patronising, just that certain films suit certain people better than others.

I have travelled a lot ,
I lived in Holland and the Uk
I've spent a year in Africa
I have also been to Turkey , France , Thailand , Spain and China just to name a few.

as for maturity well I don't think that has anything to do with the movie.

The movie as far as Im concerned was "over rated" and BORING.

all that sitting at the hotel bar crap Ive seen a thousand times.

The cook your own food stuff was amusing as was the karaoke and the tv commercial.
Overall however I found it quite dull .
You have to remember Bill Murray got an Oscar nomination for it.
He did better a better job in Meatballs .

yeah she is, not a major character though. i thought it was pretty funny that the teacher from BR is doing Pepsi ads in Japan, saw his mug on a vending machine in Narita. Bit different to the britney spears and co we get here.

well the WORST I've seen this year was some stupid movie with one of the wrestler dudes in it that I was forced to see - can't remember what it was called but I fell asleep

but the most overrated I saw (haven't seen all that many) was probably the new harry potter - they picked the best book of the series and made the worst movie yet

Was that walking tall wth the Rock in it

I never thought I would post in this forum, but I just had to air my thoughts on the one of the worse movies of all time that I was forced to sit through with my 11 y.o. niece who thinks David Spade is actually funny...DICKIE ROBERTS: Former Child Star or something of that nature.

NO, hopefully it was not rated to begin with, but this was on of the un-funniest funniest movies of the year which just happened to be one of the most corny in recent memory...

I reccomend buying this movie for those moments when you are wanting to get rid of someone who has outstayed their welcome or simply someone you do not want around your place. Suggesting "Let's watch Dickie Roberts !" should be enough to get even the biggest hanger on out the door as quick as it will take to put the DVD in the player.

Actually, to call 'Van Helsing' overrated is a bit unfair, since it got awful reviews and wasn't really 'rated' by anyone.

Thinking back, it'd be a three way dance between:
- The Day After Tomorrow: I've heard it called everything from weather porn to Independence Day with weather in the place of the aliens. Was waaaay to patriotic and sappy.

- The Village: Dull and predictable.

- The Passion of the Christ: I went in, as a Christian familiar with feelings of doubt and confusion, hoping to be moved or at least affected in some way. I came out tired and not overly intrigued by Gibson's Jesus bashing festival.

I'd probably hand it to PoC. I wanted to like it, and was incredibly disappointed.
