He's not good enough for first grade....simple as that!!!

He hasn't got the potential to be anything in first grade, he seems to be getting worse with every game.

What about that Fui :D

He was absolutely smashed in a head clash tackle very early on. That may have affected his game...

I think that Wagon should move into lock now that he is coming back from suspension.

Just forget about Mr Jeremy, people! he's the same bloke who bagged out Amos Roberts last year when he was on the verge of signing with us before he decided on Penrith.

Odi!! was knocked sensless early in a tackle and kept playing under duress he may of threw that pass which was intercepted by Torrens but then turned around to mow him down. Yes he had a quiet game!! but to suggest he's getting worse and will not get better is just crap.

At this point in time Luke is suited as a center and one thing we haven't seen in firstgrade yet which we saw in Premier league a few times is Luke O'Dwyer in open spaces he can motor and he can play.

cut him some slack will you!!

Yeah i and what a game Amos had today  ......let in about 5 tries...and apart from one flukey take to score a try had an absolute shocker.

O'Dwyer isn't first grade material....if he was we wouldn't be having this argument.

Would you have Amos or Grothe??..or Amos or Burt??.....i don't think so!!!

O'Dwyer is definatly a centre and could become a very solid 1st grade centre aswell.

But I don't think he is ready just yet

also watchinf reggies. Jeremiah Pai and Chris Muckert both will be in 1st grade soon or at very least banging loudly on the door.

For a 1st game back after being out for over 2 months he did very well. Still a week or two away from getting into the top 17 but if he keeps his form up I'm tipping him to get a run v Storm the week after the bye regardless of who is or is not available through injury/suspension.

Jeremiah Pai would be more of a chance of stopping Muckert making 1st grade then any of the current players in the 1st grade side who Muckert could replace

Going on this week's team those players being

- O'Dwyer
- Armit
- Muspratt

Gotta find someone to bitch about eh!!!.....Waggys not there this week, so can't bitch about him - we won so can't bitch about Brian - Webster didn't play so can't bitch about him.....

so you'll bitch about the guy who got knocked senseless in the first 5 mins by a head clash with Kylie Leuleui.

Deadset some of the so called Parra supporters are the bitchiest out there - nothing makes em happy except bitchin!

O'Dwyer is quite probably one our best defenders so far this year....I don't think I have seen him miss a tackle no matter who runs at him....there are people in the team to primarily as defenders and that is their main objective - and he is doing a f**kin good job at it....and no one was sooking when he ran in a try last week eh!

Well we have 3 players selected in the tests and Vella went off injured today so Muckert may come into consideration if Cayless and/or Hindy can't back up.

There is still Muzza to bag :D

O'Dwyer is a very good player but just as Muzza isn't a centre O'Dwyer just isn't big enough to play lock.

O'Dwyer has looked his best when he has been playing in the centres.

It's not that O'Dwyer is the worst player i've seen or anything.....but he just doesn't offer anything more then what any other could offer, we need a player who can offer more.

His try against Souths was a soft try against very tied Rabbitohs players

as far as I know, O'dwyer has played most of his football in the hooking position, or at least in the top grade when he was playing up here in Queensland, so maybe he might need a bit of time to geat used to playing in these other spots, ie: lock or centre. I have not seen him play a bad game in the last few years.

O'Dwyer offers something we dearly need - solid defense....he's mobile enough to get the little guys ducking around the rucks and he may not be huge, but his defense on the big guys is rock solid too.

If the rest of the team defended like O'Dwyer we'd be doing a damn sight better than we are!

He doesn't make enough tackles in a game though??.....his stats from his first grade are disapointing due to his lack of work rate??....sure he does get interchanged and all but he doesn't do enough for mine.

Wagon gets bagged alot from everyone....but some of the best tackles i've seen this year have come from him.

I honestly though O'Dwyer's frist game indicated he had promise by the little things he done, however since then he really hasn't had that stellar touch.

It also seems that he needs others to lift for him to lift his own game, this should never happen as confidence from one's own ability is paramount in being a full time NRL player.

If O'Dwyer is to be a 5/8 be a 5/8......not an in between, Hooker be a hooker...centre so on.........

The amount of tackles a guy makes depends on time on the field, whether the other team targets him and where he lines up in defence....guys like hindy, morris, caylo and other forwards will always lead the tackle count cos they r in the middle anf there for most of the game.

O'Dwyer (according to nrl.com.au) did 27 tackles today and missed a big fat 0 - this after being knocked senseless at the start of the game.....I think thats a good workrate.

He's new in the team and will obviously feel his way a bit - I believe he will continue to improve given the opportunity.

I didn't think he ended up that badly today

he started poorly after being smacked big time, but in the second half he defended well and did his fair share of hit-ups (though I don't know his metres gained as yet).

I've said before that he should be put back to reggies, but not because of any lack of talenty, more so because he can take his first grade experiences back there and refine them in an easier environment.
