I'm obviouly in the monority here but I thought the Kiwis were allowed far to much latitude by the referee with holding down in the tackle, niggle and flops.

The Aussies don't handle the niggle at all well, while the Kiwis can't play without it.

Best game of the year bar origin 1.

The Kiwi side is so scary when you think they still have blokes like Rauhihi, Lautiti and co. That easily covers for the hair bears!

Origin 1 was shit house... hardly any creative play in it at all. This was better than Origin 1 and 3, not as good as 2 though...

It seriously did exeed my expectations that match, a pleasure to watch even if the handling struggled at times... I'm looking forward to the England matches though, the atmosphere is much better as they tend to get much better crouds for their internationals than Aus and NZ in league... mind you I don't know who'll turn up to next weeks game with no GB side there....
Anyway though! Can't bloody wait!

Nah not too much coverage there wasnt even any delyaed free to air coverage of the match! The gay rugby NPC semi finals are on and thats taking most of the medias attention pretty gay aye even on talkback radio aswell. NPC Rugby is soooo boring :mrgreen:

I just watched the game then (had to tape it, since I was out all afternoon), and what a finish. I wanted the Kiwis to win, but didn't hold out much hope for them despite the halftime score being only 16-12.

Great game, and the series ahead looks positively mouth-watering.

Lots of mistakes, but lots of big hits & lots of passion & intensity. Great game.
Australia will still be big favorites for the next one, so NZ will have to match todays performance at the very least.
