The plan, which we can assume is subject to change, is for NZ to tour England in 2027.No NZ?
2027 will be interesting, with the union wc in Australia, do we bother playing any internationals down under ? Kiwis touring england seems most likely.Be nice to see
2027 NZ tour UK
2030 RLWC - Eng/Fra
Just lock in calendar and stick to it ffs!
How could they lose to png? It’s like u18 boys vYou watched the Kiwis this year?

Overplaying it? Its taken 22 years to get an Ahses series happening lol. Be nice not to have to wait so long between drinks next time! Should be every 3 years with a NZ series in middle and RLWC and maybe a 5 or 6 nations. The Pacific Championships has been a great success, and I think it’s a mistake if they ditch it in favour of overplaying the Aussie vs England series idea.
Teams in the Pacific have come a long way and are now providing competitive opposition for the first tier nations.
It is a pity that the Pacific Championship idea wasn‘t adopted by the English League, maybe involving nations like France, Scotland, Ireland etc.
I think it’s been mentioned on here, but looking to stock Super league with players from nations other than Aust. and NZ might be a good idea for the Northern Hempisphere.

I get the sense the Pacific cup is largely due to Aus govt funding it, if that funding dries up NRL will be a lot less keen Id suggest.
If they use the Aus Govt funding to establish the tournament as a permanent fixture and it becomes profitable (which attendances and ratings suggest it is on the right path) they would absolutely be keen.Overplaying it? This years crowds have certainly made it more attractive to NRL you'd hope. Be interesting to see how it fairs next year with no Aus but Tonga, Samoa and presumably NZ. I bet they are praying NZ dont stuff it up against PNG!If they use the Aus Govt funding to establish the tournament as a permanent fixture and it becomes profitable (which attendances and ratings suggest it is on the right path) they would absolutely be keen.
Go the Roos!Looking forward to a big match coming up… It would be great for international rugby league if Tonga could win!
I'm not too bothered by it. Sure it'd be better if Australian fans filled the ground, but that's on us.Geez you would think they where playing in Tonga..
