Samoan players wernt even paid for that game and I'm not sure who's at fault. This just supports what I said all along, more tests is just not feasible. It's just talk but nothing will happen.

15,000 people in the ground and TV rights - where did the money go?

I say fix match payments for all countries in several test match tiers - if that means the big three players pull out in droves because they ain't going to get paid enough - tough luck. You will still get players pulling on the jersey for the right reasons, and you will also hugely encourage lesser nations to pick and stick with a nation where they will be paid and get games. The big three will drop back into the pack also and you will still get highly entertaining games. Eventually the international game will pick up and things will balance back out again.

Totally agree.

I know I posted "Samoan players wernt being paid" based on my provided source and I might sound like Im retracting from my previous post but something doesn't add up. I can't see how Samoan players would play for free?? Tongans got paid but that's stuff all especially when you consider the physicality of the game.

Here we are already talking about more games but we haven't considered the players. Players last year were complaining that the NRL seasons too long, players for these games aren't always guaranteed release from their clubs (a problem NZ/AUS/ENG never have), 2 or more games might be detrimental to what's already good and last but not least, money.

RLPA should take it up as discrimination. Australian NRL based Test players get paid due to the NRL TV funding. The other Nations also include NRL players that provide entertainment that produces the TV funding... They should also be entitled to payment.

I mentioned this a year or so ago when the properly sized TV contracts started being funded to the correct level. Perhaps the ESL players that played in the Tests should be paid by the ESL / RLF to match the English Test players standard, IF their model is the same and the ESL comp provides the Lions :))) share of the games funding.

I don't think Internationals have a place alongside SOO, they have a place well above it.

SOO is just so over hyped its turned me right off it. Mostly in Qld, but Qlders put me off Qld.

I feel exactly the same way. The only reason I like the concept of Origin is because of the money and attention it brings the game. Don't get me wrong, I watch it and love it. But I wouldn't shed a tear if it died.

If international football could bring in similar money and attention, it would solve everything.

Money is hidden inside the NRL TV rights deal

And there lies the problem. The money is with the ARLC not Fiji PNG Samoa or Tonga RL

So how much is one NRL match worth to Foxtel ?

As it is given equal billing

When the RLIF gets its 2nd comp up and running along with a potential world 9s comp..the RLIF will have its own money
