Surprisingly I dont mind Craig McMillan as commentator

Except for two things, that dreaded hat and he has a habit of saying "wee" a lot :D

Pretty classy tourists all round. It’s one thing to shake his hand if he’s walking past. It’s another thing to run from all over the park to do it, especially after being in the field for 2 days.

Yeah always like Pakistan touring. They had a rough start with quarantine breaches and Shoaib being a dick... but classy, just a shame Babar couldn’t play he’s brilliant

Sumo is the only one that is awful, really. The rest are meh. Grant Elliot is still very uncomfortable, but highly likeable. Fleming and even B-Mac are great.

Elliott is likeable but just terrible imo. Really enjoying Fleming! Begs the question who would be good, most get tiresome quickly... would love John Morrison Jerry Coney, Flem. Glenn Turner used to be good for technical stuff...

I'm a big fan of KW, Decent captain, respected, humble, gets on with it etc...

But was genuinely surprised by these stats

Thought he was better overseas against the better opposition, namely SA and England

Williamson Ave 54.31
In NZ 65.37

In England 30.87, in South Africa 21.66 , in SL 26.71
A bit below average in India considering he is talked about as one of the best - 35.46
42.84 in Australia

Over 50.00 in UAE, West Indies, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe

To be fair, it's been a while since he's played a Test in England or South Africa. And he hasn't played many of them.

Yep, we don’t have enough tests against the ‘big’ teams, but clearly he’s dominating here, and to be fair often in bowling friendly conditions

This is true

same goes for v WI, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe

Actually, kiwis haven't toured much over the last 4 years other than OZ, SL and UAE for test cricket

That in itself is sad :(

it is, but a reality we’re a small country and the $$ are small too

plus by performing so poorly in Australia we damaged our marketability, probably also did that by thrashing India!

we are legitimately a good side, Australia are really a bogey for us and our collapses there have been inexcusable... everything went wrong last time, staring with preparation and selection.

but as with the mid 80s this is as good as we’re likely to be... which is 2-3 in the world

Day 4 of the last test of the summer. Sun shining here, just had a swim now settling down with an Epic pale ale, watching an epic start to a test career. After a shit year, things are pretty good atm, although no more tests :(
