Pandora - the music genome project

Can't remember seeing it posted here recently.

Type in the name of an artist or a song that you like, and it's "intelligent" database will be searched for songs that are similar. It not only comes up with a list, but generates your own little personal radio channel that streams music according to your taste.

Some of the results are a little obscure, but there's some unknown gems hidden in there. For example, I entered Split Enz, it came up with songs by Crowded House, Kommunity Fk, Days Away, Nils Lofgren, Delays, The Spencer Davis Group, Jimmy Eat World, and so on. Enter Metallica, I got Motorhead, Slayer, Megadeth, Pantera, Skid Row, Anthrax, Overkill.....

It doesn't stick too closely to the same sub-genre but given that I listen to a lot of metal - which has a ridiculous number of sub-genres - that can be quite difficult.
