Purtel, Plumb,Byrne,Laurie , well Purtel is a hog and is a woeful defender, plumb is only a fringe first grader,Laurie cant last more than 10minutes and Byrne keeps changing clubs cause no one wants him as he is too hot and cold but more cold.

Pritchard has his mood swings and sammut cant tackle.
Ok Lewis Jennings,Petro and Waterhouse are genuine players but for the rest of the squad they are average Especially with the new signings.

Brandy picks the Panthers to make the top 4 every year. He also tipped Parramatta for the wooden spoon last season so I'll take his opinions with a grain of salt.

Panthers have some classy players. But they lack experience in the key positions. I see them finishing between 7th and 12th. They may sneak into the 8, but can't see them doing much better. There doesn't seem to be an overall stability with their side also. They've too many players competing for the same positions, and that doesn't help Matt Elliot when it comes to team structure or developing game plans.

You mean Nigel Plum and Travis Burns....

Anyway, I think the key for our success is the core Panthers like Lewis, Petro, Waterhouse and Jennings. We have only signed role players because we only need role players.

He wasn't able to do much cardio training.

Sammut underwent an ankle reconstruction in November that prevented him from running for a large portion of the off-season. Rather than being a setback, the injury allowed Sammut to get stuck-in inside the Panthers' weights room at CUA Stadium.

He had a playing weight between 72kg and 74kg last year. So assuming 74kg was where he finished his season off at, it's only 8kg.

Lachlan Coote has put on more weight then that. He was lighter then Sammut last season and is now around the 85kg mark. He just doesn't look as ripped as Sammut does.

Panthers are no chance @ 4 but good on Brandy for picking them.

Burns will be a good buy, Laurie will be great in 2 years......but still no 8 IMO...

No top 8 this year will be disastrous for our club. 5 years of no top 8 already, if its 6 I expect alot of season ticket holders to cancel for 2011. Generally clubs don't go for 6 years without a finals berth, unless they are Souths of the 90's or early 00's

I'd be more than happy with anywhere in the 8. 4th is obviously a sign of Brandy's undying love for the club. 6th or 7th would be my pick

What an idiot, Sammut is terrible, he wouldn't even make most of the top teams. Travis Burns is average at best, no ball playing ability - he showed that at the Cowboys.

PLUS Matt Elliot is coach.

Cowpats coaching staff are no good at unlocking talent. Besides, Panthers attack last year was great. Tidy up their defence and maintain the rage and they will be top 4.

More realistically I see 7th or 8th.

They have a good starting pack but apart from Jennings thier backline is shocking. Their bench isnt too crash hot either. They will still beat us though.
