i hope Alex stays on i think he has a lot to offer

Credit to him, he seems to have the 20's firing at present, but I am not such a fan.
Players complain that he has poor communications skills. Experienced same issues when he was with Sharks.

But good luck to him, coaching is certainly not an easy job.

I think Melville has done a great job, with the team he was given at the beginning on the year. Dont forget up until 5 or 6 weeks ago everyone was bagging the hell out of the team and its players. Now at seasons end he has two players that have played 1st grade and has another 3or4 not far off. As for the new coach, I dont know much about him, but what I do know is he has coached for a number of years at newcastle and they have never made the semis. Considering they have a large number of jnrs and did spend quite a bit of money the last few years on imports, Im sure they would have expected more.

We played great again tonight. Sadly we will just miss out on the 8. VTK was outstanding 2 good tries strong defence & offloads. Butler-Fleming impressed me he was very dangerous in the centres

Well done Alex and the boys from the u20

Alex you coped a bagging on here early season .But with a heavy injury tol and players going up to the higher grades you still only missed out by 1 win on the 8.Well done Alex

Shame about the Melbourne game where we were robbed on the siren, would have been very interesting on current form going into the finals.

the killer was the titans game we lost by one they where last at the time

That was the lost that hurt. Add with the 5 or so games when we conceded 20+ points in the last 15mins & it really stuffed our f & a. The good thing is most of the team can still play next year

Perhaps in 2012, we can finally realise our potential and be a contender in the Toyota Cup. The last 8 or so rounds this year was really an indicator of what could have been - we would have created some damage in the finals.

all these young blokes are soft thesedays. My 78 year old mum would train harder than them.

Not this year Fibro, Matty Ryan will have them as fit as the 1st Graders, no room for soft boys this year. And as for your poor old mum, well...

The boys are hurting already, only smaller squad of local boys at present. Skin fold test left a few in shock. Fat club is looking like it will be big.
