Leota ran hard & defended like a beast for the most part.

Couple of mistakes but I wouldn’t cut the nose off to spite the face, plenty of upside imo.

Only 1 really. The ptb error was unlucky not to be called a penalty.

I f**kING LOVE YOU PENRITH. I'm not joking though, I just had this gut feeling we would win, and fairly comfortable too. all this talk about us being done is what we love. I just didn't want to say it because I didn't want to jinx nothing. :black_heart::green_heart::heart::yellow_heart:
Well as they say beware of the wounded panther.

I think I said online earlier this week I was quitely confident. WOW.

Maloney is worth every single cent. When Nathan comes back all that needs to happen is they compliment each other.

Maloney and old Wal gave a master class tonight. Leota, Kikua, Fisher harris Reggies were flipping wonderful too.

JFH was outstanding tonight. In normal circumstances he would be man of the match. Jimmy made sure the circumstances wearnt normal. That performance was next level. That is without doubt the best Panthers performance since the Dogs semi in 2016.

How good was that. They didn't look like premiership favorites but we gave them next to nothing. In fact I'd say the absolute clubbing we gave them in defense had plenty to do with how tentative they were.

JFH was an absolute monster. So strong with the ball and crunched every other tackle. Looked much better in the middle as others have mentioned. Kikau was really dangerous, as was RCG. Wallace was excellent (finally some dummy half kicks that weren't train wrecks). Really can't fault many of the boys tonight (I actually thought Leota was pretty good too). Shoutout to Crichton who made some good early takes and carries.

But Jimmy. f**k me. That's among the best halfback performances I've seen by a Panther in years. He looked dangerous but composed in a way only the absolute best halfbacks do. Some massive plays and even dropped Hess on his ass for a bit of icing. He was a massive cut above Thurston and Morgan. I'm much less worried about the next 10 weeks without Cleary if Jimmy's going to be half that player, with the only concern being Origin.

Only complaint I have was Peachey. Can't be too hard on him as it's not his position, but he really doesn't offer much in the 6. If Luai is anywhere near able to cope with the defensive load he's got to start next week. Would love to see more of Egan too.

f**k I love weekends where we win (well) at the start of the round and I can watch the rest of the footy with peace in my soul. Nothing better.

I honestly think Peach did fine. He ran the ball, did his normal stuff. Left edge in defence needs fixing.

our defence in the middle was excellent, it’s the first time in a while since I have seen it us consistently put the other team on their backs, kikau, RCG and JFH did it all night

I can’t add anything to what all the rest of you have said.

The fact we did it in the face of so much adversity makes it even more impressive.

We start the game without Cleary or DWZ and with a utility in the 6.

We were then a man down off the back of the most insane sin binning I have ever seen.

We lost Yeo for almost the whole second half.

However we didn’t seem like we lost any momentum as a result of any of that. We rolled forward like an avalanche.

Strange comment. Bryce hasn't played in the forwards in a year and that's JFH's first good game in a year+

Been saying for 2 yrs this teams need tough mongrels who just run hard. That is what they did tonight. You dont need Cartwrights or Peacheys. You need Jfh and Kikau types.

Yep. They do a lot of coaching on it this and when it works it gives us a huge advantage. Great when the merkins can execute what they've trained for.
