Panthers v Parra

But can we stop claiming that Parra are whingers. A few things in the match did go our way and Parra have some legit vibes about some of the calls and circumstances. If it some of the went against us, this forum would be going ballistic.
It happened in the Souths game, and while the forum did go ballistic, it generally wasn't to accuse the refs or the opposition of cheating.

There were calls last night that went both ways.

The game being stopped when Penrith on the attack by trainer, and Blake was already on the side line.

Exactly the same thing.

It took 2 trainers last night to get Kenny off the field. According to some with an Eels leaning he wasn't injured. There is talk today that it could be a serious ankle injury like an achilles. Which is a 9 month lay off.

Fergusions lay down penalty for a 'clayton's crusher'. When Fergusion jumped up he should have been binned for contary conduct.

I found these incidents without even thinking about it.
The ref missing a pretty damn obvious Parra touch when we were in a try scoring position and having to challenge, thus allowing the defence to reset. Klein made an awful lot of blues in this game for a top ref.

Yes a blip on the game that Penrith Panthers are being investigated for on the eve of a prelim because Arthur bitched about something that his team did in same match and every other team has been guilty of, why is it Penriths problem solely?
Consider that SMH piece, which is the masthead of channel nine, which has Sterlo and Rabs on board. Not hard to figure out which side of the bread is buttered for the journos who work for them. They are just as bad as News Corp.

And as far as Penrith's trainer stopping play, that was on the touch judge.

No. It was a coin toss. Most including betting agents expected a Panthers white wash. That is why Eels where paying 4-1.
I can't beleive Parra pushed the Panthers for 80mins without a hooker.
Yes it was a close game and a bloody good game that could have gone either way but all this dummy spitting is so annoying, there were shit calls both ways.

It happens in every game. Parra had chances to win. They didn't take them. They move on.
Panthers need to rest. It was a brutal game.Hope that game gives them energy and belief to best the Storm.
Remember the Eels knocked them off. It was a huge game. Storm where going for the record so don't beleive the media saying they where taking it easy. They where out muscled, frustrated and outplayed.

Manlys defense is weak. They handed Storm easy tries. Lets see how they go against a strong organised defense that won't give them cheap possesion.

It was a very even game that could have went either way. Even if we won I don't think we would have gone on with it and beaten Melbourne next week. I don't think you guys will either. You have been below your best for a while now.

Good Luck anyway.
It’s hard to disagree with any of this.

Considering how many chances both teams had without scoring. It's incredibly unlikely those missed opportunities due to stoppages cost either team points.

Eels scored 1 try from a bomb that Edwards missed and bounced their way. We scored one try from a Cleary grubber.

We bombed some opportunities you would think were certainties to score from. And had a try taken off us which shouldn't have been when Luai scored. Moses tries to tackle Burton who's running through the line and clearly not getting the ball... After Eels had broken early from the scrum. Yet bunker rules in favour of Eels. There was no obstruction. Only a defensive decision after Burton is on his way out of the line giving him an opportunity to defend Luai which he chose not to do.

Luai infront of the Cleary kick plays no role in Ferguson dropping the ball. He's ruled to have done so while when Eels kick chase was infront of the kick Edwards missed there's no issue with that. Both teams had dud calls. Eels had a few calls save them points. This one i was fine with but it's inconsistent with the Eels kick chase being infront.

Honestly they would likely have won if not for Stone at hooker. They got as many good calls as bad from the refs and bunker. But their hooker cost them many opportunities to get on a roll.

But if they get Mahoney back, can we have To'o back as well, Who wins then? Can we also have Cleary back without a busted shoulder?

Whilst hypotheticals are interesting, when all is said and done, the Panthers are a better team than the Eels right now and that is why the won.

I reckon Ciraldo will say no to the Tigers and become our new coach in 2023.

#gutfeel
See what happens if we make the GF, hypothetically if Ciraldo did go to Parra, it would make more sense the way the Eels are positioned.

If we don't go further than this Saturday, I don't see him going anywhere when he has unfinished business here.

Parra lost because of their arrogance and dumb game management, yes they pushed us the whole 80mins, and played well, but they had a whole 40 mins to take a 2point FG to even it up, its their arrogance thinking thet could win by scoring a try, instead of setting up for atleast golden point, its the least they could do for their fans

All the more reason why I said 2023.

What about your arrogance in not taking the opportunity for 2 points on 2 occasions?
