Grant should be ahead of Woolnough in the pecking order. Pritchard needs to be left on the edge to do his damage. He's wasted in field given no one bothers to support anyone else.

If we go into this game with no props on the bench again I will scream!!!
Same here.
We HAVE to have at least 1 prop on the bench every week, and in Petero's absence probably 2. No offense to Grant, Woolnough, etc, but Petero is obviously in a different class.

Yeah pretty special price. I'd just add that we've been bet out of the top 8 favouritism as well. We're sitting at $51 dollars for the premiership even, if I recall 6 hours ago, with Souths in 11th.
Out of sight out of mind, fine by me, we always perform best in this situation. They'll never take a Penrith side seriously though..

We haven't been taken seriously the past 4 years... and neither have we given people a reason to take us seriously. In all honesty i can't see that changing this year. Not with the crazy team selections that Matt Elliott has been making the past few weeks.

We were doing great and then as we got some injured players back he managed to make our team worse by dropping the wrong blokes and keeping his favorite players.

Blackett is gone for the season, so I would give Pearn a shot off the bench with McKendry for impact.

I think Gordan will play fullback
Blair into the centres, Tighe onto the wing.
Sammut either the bench or out of the 17 all together.

Shaun M alluded to that on the Dear Diary thread running over at PI after viewing the training session yesterday.

Mxlegend99's post is 100% correct. When injured players came back he made the team worse by dropping the wrong players! We have lost a few games this season due to his silly selections.

I am not suprised that we are paying $2.50. We are in bad form. That 32 ALL draw was the evidence. The Warriors since have been hammered and barely scored any points. We let in 32!

We were terrible against the Dragons. The Dragons barely kicked into 3rd gear and still thumped us.

RE: PRITCHARD

Also agree that Pritchard is totally wasted at Prop. He is a fringe running backrower. What a waste of speed, power, agility and foot work Pritchard is at prop. Totally wasted.

RE: GRANT vs WOOLNOUGH

I'd also like to wade into the Woolnough vs Grant debate. Wooly is not really a favourite of mine, and definately has not been value for money. However has Elliot really ever given him an extended chance?

Grant definately has massive potential, but his development seems to have stalled and he has largely been disappointing. He usually only makes 60-70 metres a game.

Woolnough in the few games he has played late season has cracked the 100metre mark several times, something that Grant to my recollection has NEVER done. Add this to the fact that Woolnough has a very good ability to offload. Sure at times his offloads are somewhat wild but with some more time in 1st Grade our players will position themselves around him more effectively and we WILL benefit.

Toyota Cup Team got smacked 48-24

Only stand out by the looks of it was Sam McKendry who looks to have had an outstanding game.

Well Jarrod Sammut has been dropped, with Maurice Blair moving into the starting side and Tim Grant is now on the bench.

the toyota team will be a front runner next year a lot of the boys are well under the age.I agree realist never been a fan of woolnough just does not dent the line or have any impact when hitting the ball up.Grant at least will keep improving with age.Now Gordon at fullback a lot of people have been calling for it for a while

Well Well Well. 58-24.

Penrith are cooked. No finals for us again.

I wish I could give some of the silly PI guys a spray but oh well such is life.

Elliot is hopeless and our management is worse.

Not very interested in the rest of the season...I am shattered.

What is worse...I'm not very interested in 2010, 2011 with our roster getting worse and no prospect of a coaching change.

We need a good coach. It doesn't matter what team we're fielding when he is incapable of preparing them for big games.
